Fifth Order: Karna's Tale, Piercing Immortal Flame

In the meantime, I activated my blade, causing the entire place to shake as the pillar of light expanded. This place was going to blow! When my sword started shaking, the light beam began to die. Alright! I quickly jumped up, causing the ground to shatter.

I stopped in midair and aimed for the enemy. My sword had transformed into a giant spear with black and red motifs while being engulfed with flames. By this time, the Ankou and Tomoe had rushed out of the area.

"Arcane Grand Orders, Fifth Order... Karna's Tale, Piercing Immortal Flame!" I yelled, hurling the giant spear towards Fabian.

I nearly lost my arm as I felt the weight of the lance tearing my limb off. When I finally let go of the spear, the throw was so great that it eradicated the nearby blocks. The enemy had no way of defending himself as he was still dealing with Bryan's attack.

Thus, when I threw my attack, it was curtains for Fabian. Not only did his shield break, but the lance of Karna utter decimated the area, causing the entire building to explode. Bryan was the closest to the blast while I was being thrown out after I launched the attack.

"Bryan!" I yelled as I landed on the soft grassland.

Everything was in flames, and the mansion had been so damaged that it didn't resemble a house anymore. The remaining blocks were still collapsing into the inferno, but it didn't matter to me.

I cursed myself for letting the Slayer fight the final enemy when he knew he might have lost his life. I ignored Tomoe's cries to stop as I rushed into the falling house to find Bryan. As I ran in, it felt like going through an obstacle course to dodge every burning brick and find the Slayer.

Maybe those times in secondary school weren't too bad for survival or rescuing your colleague from a burning building. But no matter where I'd looked, Bryan wasn't anywhere. After inhaling too much smoke, I was prone to asphyxiation and felt weak. I kept coughing as I trudged on.

I soon found myself stabbing my sword into the ground and resting there.

"Crap... Why is this place so damned big... Bryan's Elemental Energy hasn't ceased yet, so why can't I find him anywhere?!" I asked, coughing more.

As my vision began to blur, I knew I wouldn't last long. Alright then, I will do this again, and hopefully, I don't have to fight anymore. So, Vania, listen to my commands and activate Avarice! Eat up the inferno!

"Notice. You are activating Avarice to clear the area of any signs of Fire Elements."

A pop-out appeared, and I clicked 'Yes' as streams of rainbow Elemental Energy sprang out from my blade and started to absorb all of the flames. I tried my best to get more gulps of air, only to figure out that Fabian's Elemental Energy levels were still on my HUD.

After a solid Tock, the inferno was gone, and I finally found the Slayer, curled in a ball and covered with burns. I wasted no time as I dashed across the ashen ground to get to him.

"Oi! Bryan! Wake up! I'm here! Don't you dare die on me, Slayer!" I yelled, flipping Bryan over so that I could see his face.

I thanked God that Bryan was still alive and breathing, but he wasn't going to wake up anytime soon, and I was worried. However, my face went pale as I checked for more wounds besides minor burns. At the last Tick, Fabian summoned a weapon to drive a hole into Bryan's stomach.

But before I could do any healing, I found Duncan standing behind me with his scythe in full glory and dripped with blood. I felt anger burn inside me as I saw Fabian howling in pain despite losing an arm and being covered in burns. How the hell is this degenerate still alive?!

"Are you alright, Lady Lizzie?" asked Duncan, who had the Ankou's appearance and was still trying to protect me from the enemy.

"Yes, I'm fine, thanks to you... But I don't know if your senior can hold out for much longer when he is bleeding out a river..." I confessed as I held onto Bryan's left hand.

Come on, man... You have to recover from this! I promised to fight with you, and I'm not leaving this hell-forsaken land until you open your eyes! As I grasped the Slayer's hand, I widened my eyes in shock to see Fabian holding a blade much too familiar to me... I could see red at this point.

Tomoe managed to find us finally, and his shoulders sank when seeing the limp Slayer in my lap before gazing at Duncan's battle stance against the Baron.
