'Midori' Vs The Ankou And Duncan

Ah! That's right! Now I know why I was trying to draw some connection with the fox child other than she looks like Tomoe's little sister. The King of Knights resides in Midori's body, so fighting her would be like fighting someone ten times as powerful as Mordred.

The Knight of Rebellion was already a headache, and if I had to deal with the King of Knights, I would have a migraine of epic proportions. But luckily, Vania said that the blob wasn't the real deal, so her powers would be weakened by half or might not have the King's powers.

According to Vania's explanation, Midori was a Gaia Mage, an Element specializing in growth and rejuvenation. Mostly linked plants; I'm guessing this kid was the definition of having a green thumb. Her skills are the polar opposite of her twins', which were fast-paced with a steady strength output.

"Are you serious about this?! Using my twin against me... Are you seriously trying to trigger emotions from me? I mean... You would've gotten better results if you knew me. My memories will not be used against me, nor will Duncan's memories would be of any use."

"Have you not noticed? One of your Ducklings tried to do the same thing and pried into Duncan's memories. Did you see what happened to her in the end? Or shall I give you the same treatment as I did within the Crystal Caverns? Take a look at that memory then!" yelled the Ankou.

The Reaper aimed his scythe at Midori while the fox child held onto a weapon covered with translucent mist. Whatever that weapon was, it must be something of value to be hidden so well. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell if it was a bow, spear, or sword.

"Don't die," I whispered.

As the Ankou vanished from his spot, the child in front of Fabian was gone. Both twins met in the middle and clashed while hovering above the ground. The two backed down before exchanging a flurry of attacks. Unfortunately, both efficiently met the other's attack, forcing a stalemate.

That was when Midori howled in pain as the blade within her hands started to glow with golden light, unveiling the legendary Sword of King Arthur in her grasp. The long blade, coupled with a golden guard, blue handle, and silver pommel, was a remarkable treasure.

Then, as the child shakily brought the oversized blade above her head, I could hear her muscles tearing with the sheer weight and power of the Sword of Promised Victory. Even the Ankou was starting to get angry at Fabian torturing this poor kid.

We both knew this wasn't ending well. At least, not for the discounted version of Midori, as her body was starting to crack from the Elemental Energy drain from such a big attack. Midori can't fight on after unleashing the attack.

She looked like she would be falling over halfway through the spell. Like Clarent, Excalibur is an attack capable of destroying a fortress or an entire battalion.

"The... Forces of Camelot will hear my warcry... My Round Table of Knights... Will aid in my victory... Hear... The wishes and dreams of all soldiers... From the past, future, and present... The one last thing that went through their dying minds... This is the miracle from the King!" shouted Midori.

The child with the golden sword stepped forward with great difficulty as the Ankou held up his blade, not wanting to use his Original Spell. Midori was too unstable to unleash the blade's power, and I wanted to jump in, only to be halted by the Ankou shaking his head.

"Ex... Calibur!" yelled Midori as she slammed her sword downwards, sending a torrent of bright, golden light towards the Ankou.

The Reaper looked sad for a Tick before grabbing his scythe with both hands and raising the blade above his right shoulder. Then, with one fell swoop, the Ankou swung the scythe at the oncoming bright light, dispersing the spell into thin air. He had cleared a direct path to Midori!

But what came next was even more shocking to me as the Ankou vanished into the blast and reached Midori to finish her off. However, when the light died down, I was shocked to see that it was Duncan who punctured Midori's chest to defeat her.

It was the younger male because the Ankou's Elemental Aura and physical appearance on the boy had vanished. Duncan said nothing as he pulled out the scythe and slashed Midori in half, ensuring she couldn't recover from it. Fabian was dumbfounded, while I felt terrible for Duncan.

Sure, she may be a fake, but facing your only living family member during battle would be pretty challenging. But Duncan took it like a grown-up as he finished the job without emotions getting in the way.
