"How is that possible? How could a small child like you have the strength to cut me in half?!" cried out Fabian as he crawled on the ground, trying to get back with his lower half.
"I may be a small kid, but don't forget that I've received the title of First Seat from the Barren Pillars, a feat that you cannot comprehend with that tiny head of yours," noted Duncan, casually shaking off the blood from the blade.
"Tch... If you keep using your powers, it will only cause your demise because I can replicate your every move!" shouted Fabian as he successfully connected his two severed body parts.
The Mage stood up and gripped the sword before charging toward Duncan. The boy merely stood there before slowly closing his eyes and breathing deeply. It was then when I saw Duncan's message through my HUD, stating to fight Fabian first while he prepared his Original Spell.
Thus, I appeared before Duncan and clashed against the enemy, much to Fabian's shock and anger. The two males had switched to the child since Duncan needed to be awake when activating his Original Spell. I'm not lying, but I was interested to see what the boy would use next.
"So you still want to continue this battle despite your state... Let's see you fair against me, a seasoned Mage of this world!" yelled the Mage as he pushed forward with the attack, causing me to back up.
"You're nowhere near seasoned when you don't have an Orginal Spell and rely on others' powers. I don't have to be wary of a fighter who can't stand his ground without the help of his little servants! I'd make you suck your thumb if you were in my old world!" I roared.
I knew the next swing would blow me back, so I quickly disengaged by crouching down and swiping at Fabian's legs. The damned guy jumped and proceeded to strike my head. He would have succeeded if I did not have Vania to warn me.
I contorted my body to deliver a high kick at the blade. Then, after shoving the sword away, I used the shift in my balance to my advantage and swung my sword at Fabian's neck, beheading the fellow instantly. But the Mage wasn't going to let me win that easily.
Fabian's body was still active as he plunged the Lance at my foot while using the other hand to swing at me with the sword. Unfortunately, since I was stuck on the ground, I couldn't move out of the way and was forced to block the incoming attack with as much creativity as I got.
Well... Since I don't feel pain anymore, there's no setback in trying this...
"What the hell do you think you are doing?!" yelled Fabian as his eyes tried to comprehend what I'd just done.
For some reason, my clowning brain decided the best choice for me to survive the attack was to bite onto the blade. Thinking back, I could've used my hand... Or my sword, but I chose my teeth instead, much to the shock of everyone.
Before anything else could be done, I used my free hand and grabbed the Lance, plucking it out from my foot before using it to stab Fabian's chest. Then, with my foot free and the body stumbling backward, I could open my mouth again and thrust my blade towards Fabian's head.
But the head used his tongue and dodged the flying blade, making me even more livid. I want this damned battle to end already! But just then, I could hear Duncan finally ready with his Original Spell. About damned time! I quickly backed up when I saw the boy's Elemental Energy emerging.
"It's useless! You can never defeat me using Magecraft nor by slicing me up... You should all learn to quit against someone as invincible as me!" yelled Fabian as his body quickly pulled out the Lance and rushed to grab his head.
"If I quit now, I can never come home to my sister! I promised her I would finish my first Major Mission without failing!" shouted Duncan.
Duncan stepped forward as his hair grew out and a long black coat appeared, resting on his shoulder. Green and purple Elemental Aura blossomed around the boy as his Elemental Energy solidified, turning into filmstrips that danced around his figure.
Although I failed to stop Fabian from reuniting with his head, I wasn't going to let him slip past me while my ally did his incantation! So I intercepted Fabian before he could reach Duncan, clashing with the giant Lance. Fabian was shocked to see my blade glowing in brown, red, and black.
"What?! I thought you had been drained of Elemental Energy?! How can you still perform Magecraft?!"
