The Sotobas turned into large spikes and continued to grow into the Qilin, stabbing the Beast. As if that wasn't painful, there were spikes on the big spikes! Ouch... I kinda feel bad for the poor monster now. We had awoken it from deep slumber only to turn it into an inverted pufferfish.
And that wasn't all... Because our random helper's attack was also as powerful as Duncan's spell. If not, more potent because the unknown man's attack was from the Goddess Of Venus. And the more I thought about it, the more it made sense why Duncan wanted to use his Frames.
In Mesopotamia myths, Ishtar and Ereshkigal had a highly complex relationship. Some said they were siblings, with Eresh being older, while others said they were the same. If Ishtar was the Misstress of Heaven, then Ereshkigal was the Underworld's Misstress.
Legend has it that Ishtar ventured into the Underworld to challenge her counterpart but got trapped. When she reached Ereshkigal's throne room, the Anunnaki, known as the Seven Judges of Underworld, deemed Ishtar as guilty and encased her in Kur, Mesopotamia's version of the Underworld.
No matter what the stories say, everyone knows their powers are equally matched; both could destroy mountains. They are top-tier heros that appear in the Sumerian texts. But personally, I would bet on Ereshkigal to help me out in a battle than Ishtar...
But back to the fight, I witnessed the effects of Ereshkigal's powers against the Qilin, which seemed to be halting the Beast's attack. So now it was time for the arrow from the mysterious Mage to prove its worth. Hopefully, this guy isn't just for show.
The considerable arrow's launch from the bow was so powerful that it produced a colossal ring of light from its shock wave. The arrow tunneled towards the shouting beast, heading straight for its mouth.
As the attack reached into its body, a split Tick of silence followed before the Beast imploded, destroying everything on site. Including the hill. I could only see white before seeing black because I was still too near to the blast.
In the dark, I was alone, floating around. I knew I was dreaming since there was nothing around me. Maybe I had died and was now on my way to another realm? Nah... I wouldn't have died from such a blast... Right?
As I started to panic, Vania's screens popped out, stating that I was still alive and this was my current rank and stats level. My body had taken damage but nothing of the fatal kind. Instead, I passed out because the conflict between the two spells was too great for my mind to handle.
Vania had automatically scanned the two spells, which was too overpowering, like having a computer run a program that needs more memory or processing speed than the computer's specifications. So... This was my inner world.
Like how the author always states the Five Orphans to be in... Thus, it would mean that I could create whatever I wanted in this Void... Correct? Ooh... I love designing my own world! I could feel Vania judging me as she showed me the recordings for the past few days.
Listen, I need a break from all the fighting and dangerous entities... From mythological beasts to horrifying killers, don't you think I deserve to have a good rest? I may not need sleep, but I would kill to have my comfy bed...
Just as I thought about it, the area transformed into an orange room with a queen-sized bed of the matching color. The pillows looked so pretty, with frills all around their sides. I instantly ran over to the bed and plopped my face into the pillows, sighing instantly as the cushions were so soft...
But after a few Tocks, I was bored again and stood back up. I thought for a bit before snapping my fingers and taking one step forward. When my foot landed on the ground, the place changed into a lush meadow filled with dandelions.
A mountain's shadow could be seen in the distance as the skies were as azure as the seas. I started walking around, taking in the scenery and the beauty of my mind's creation. Then, a gust of wind blew by, causing the petals of the dandelions to disperse into the air.
Before I could enjoy more of the area, I found a familiar face standing in front of me. The person turned to face me, smiling with a fang from the corner of her mouth. I shook my head and walked over to her side, placing a hand on her shoulder.
The person was none other than the Knight of Rebellion in her proper form. A petite girl with blonde hair and emerald eyes with pale skin. No black armor nor red streaks around her body.
