Borrowing Mordred's Power

I swear, I could hear Vania throwing a tantrum in my head as she begrudgingly slapped a message board onto my vision. Then, finally, the message said that the armor was approved, and my body started to glow bright red with lightning dancing around me.

"Impossible! You managed to merge with Mordred's Elemental Core?" questioned Mavislin, still holding onto the pommel of her blade like a King I once knew.

"Nope, I never had her Elemental Core nor her real body. How could I? The Knight of Rebellion has been dead for centuries; her bones are already in a tree! I got this bad boy of an armor set from being Mordred's Master... Pretty cool, right?"

"And I can use it without suffering repercussions," I said as I rushed forwards, leaving behind crimson sparks.

After the opening spells were done, all three of us went into a heated fight of arrows and blades. Vincent kept firing arrows at Mavislin while she kept deflecting them with ease. While she had her eyes on the projectiles, I tried my best to go in for the kill.

Unfortunately, this opponent of mine may have eyes on the back of her head as she met with my every clash. Mordred's attitude is bleeding into my mind, or I'm getting frustrated that this battle is at a standstill.

In frustration, I threw my blade at the Valkyrie, which she promptly deflected to the side. I charged toward Mavislin in time to grab my sword and struck hers, resulting in a massive shock wave. I slammed my right foot down, forcing Mavislin backward and into Vincent's aim.

He fired a few shots, but the Valkyrie merely crushed it with a hand before vanishing from her place. I cursed as she appeared in front of me, with her fringe covering her eyes, and crouched down to aim her blade at my abdomen.

I didn't know if it was Mordred's suppressed memories or my fear, but that stance Mavislin was doing was jamming my thoughts badly.

Whatever it was, I didn't care as I overwrote the controls from using Mordred's Frenzy Skill and reacted to Mavislin's attack by forcing my entire weight to the right. Then, I rolled away to safety while the Valkyrie thrust her blade forwards.

I thanked my lucky stars as I contorted my body to launch off the ground and allow Vincent another chance to strike at Mavislin. The man fired a single arrow, clouded with Darkness, at Mavislin's wing.

The Valkyrie shook her wings and deflected the arrows away, forcing Vincent to rethink all of his life choices.

"No way... How could one of the Five Phases' weapons be so useless against a Mage's defense?!" yelled Vincent.

"Maybe it's because it came from me?! I'm not the same level as Mavislin, you know?!" I shouted back, leaping into the fray to get Mavislin's back.

What was I expecting? For me to get a cut on the being? Nah, that will never happen, even if I get reincarnated over a hundred times. Instead, I smashed against the Valkyrie's armor and promptly got blasted off and back to the same spot as before. Meanwhile, Vincent was at close range.

After dealing with me, Mavislin turned her attention towards Vincent while the man had changed his mind about firing an arrow right into her face.

"The Qilin's Bow isn't powerful enough for this battle! I have to pull out something more potent to do damage!" shouted Vincent, backflipping away from the Valkyrie's blade swing.

"Oi! You're a tank, for god's sake! Aren't you supposed to be on the defensive side?!" I yelled, ducking from Mavislin's kick, only to be countered by her blade, nearly cutting my nose off.

I rolled away from Mavislin's blade while Vincent intercepted her using the Qilin's Bow to block her strike. Mavislin grinned when she saw I was about to pounce, instantly pushing her blade to force Vincent onto the ground.

The man allowed the gesture to push through and swung his leg at Mavisliun, making her back away from the bow. Vincent grabbed the weapon and tossed it to me with a single arrow. I placed more strength in my leap, caught the weapons, and contorted my body.

Once I was upside-down in the air, I fired the arrow toward the Valkyrie, who was surprised that the arrow was slightly more potent than the ones Vincent had shot. She backed up, but I saw her blade shining brightly with colors again.

"Mystic Tale; Second Wing..."

"Oh no, you don't!" I shouted, pulling the bowstring back and pouring whatever Element I could think of into the weapon I was holding.

So I decided to use Water against the Valkyrie as the arrow appeared with flashes of ocean blue and dark streams of Elemental Energy.
