Ereshkigal's Weapon

"Oceansoul's Oblivion!" I shouted, releasing the bowstring before Mavislin could unleash her Original Spell.

The Valkyrie halted mid-sentence to intercept the arrow, which exploded into a whirlpool upon impact. But, hey... Maybe it wasn't me who weak... Maybe Vincent's attack power isn't as good as his defense. That would be slightly logical if he were a Tank main but...

Aren't tanks supposed to have good physical strength? Vincent looks like a stick man about to be broken in half if the wind was strong enough... How can he be a Tank? As the arrows did their job, I summoned my blade and forced the bow to vanish.

Mavislin came out of the ordeal, dripping wet and slightly annoyed at my spell. At that point, I didn't know what I thought as the Valkyrie sprang toward me. I think my brain malfunctioned for a split Tick and failed to protect myself from the charging girl, but Vincent swooped in at the right time.

The man successfully blocked Mavislin's charge by summoning a weapon with two golden blades and a handle in the middle. The weapon was bigger than Vincent and had red sparks teeming at its outline.

"Both of you never stopped impressing me with how many weapons you have up your sleeves... However, it's not good enough to stop me," taunted Mavislin, getting ready to fire a spell from her finger, pointing towards Vincent's face.

The man said nothing as he ducked his head down and pushed forward, causing Mavislin to plunge her feet into the ground to stop herself from moving. I saw it as a chance to power up one of my moves again. Now, Vania, let's use one of the newer Grand Orders, alright?

"Notice. If you are referring to the second stage, please use the phrase' Lostbelt' to avoid confusion. And you are ready to launch the First Lostbelt whenever you are ready."

Okay then, let's use the First Losbelt on Mavislin.

"OI! Spitfire, keep Mavislin busy!" I shouted as I held my sword with both hands and allowed my Elemental Aura and Energy to raise slowly.

I was holding a normal battle stance with one foot in front, ready to hoist the blade above my head.

"You got it, Shadow! Let's see if Ereshkigal's weapon has better strength than that Qilin!" yelled Vincent, as sparks from his odd weapon began to emerge.

Mavislin disengaged and tried to turn her attention back to me but was stopped by Vincent's weapon.

"Sorry, but my partner told me to play with you a bit while she gets ready... But, don't worry, this bad girl has got some tricks up its blade!" shouted Vincent with a grin.

The Valkyrie's Aura skyrocketed as the duo exchanged clashes like a fireworks display. After Vania had analyzed the weapon, I found it belonged to Ereshkigal, the Terrible Earth Mother. The weapon of Kur uses parts of the temple that worships the Goddess of the Underworld.

Its stats were as powerful as the bow from Ishtar, but it drew power from the ground, so Vincent was mainly fighting with his feet on the Earth. In addition, it was glowing with red Elemental Energy despite being associated with the Underworld.

I don't know what he was holding, but it must belong to the Misstress of Kur. It may be a defensive weapon. But I must concentrate on pulling this off before letting my mind wander to another place.

"The Blank sheet of Humanity draws near; what will become of our future? Nothing, as the Empire of Ice and Snow, prohibits the sinners from passing through. The Lost Princess of Romanova protects the Empire that is the end of Humanity. And thus, I shall use it against my foes..."

As I started my chant, the area near my feet began to form a ring of ice, and I felt chills running up my spine. Soon, after the second half of the chant, I was standing in a field of snow. Mavislin and Vincent felt the drop in temperature and quickly backed away from each other.

"So you've decided to use your powerful spells? Well now, I should answer in accordance with you then! To be clear, I won't be going easy on you, Otherworlders..." said the Valkyrie as she ditched the sword in favor of her bare hands.

She closed her eyes and extended her palm outwards, as if she was trying to grasp something in front of her. Streams of golden Elemental Energy emerged everywhere and converged to Mavislin's opened palm.

"Let the light flow. Let the dark fade. Divine punishment descends from the heavens. Overturn this spell for this land to strive and flourish once again..." chanted Mavislin, as the golden Elemental Energy turned into pitch black streams once they were near her fingertips.
