Keep Going!

"Welcome to the final battle of the UA High School Sports Festival!" Present Mic's voice announced. "It all comes down to this! From the Hero course, it's Shoto Todoroki, versus his classmate, Katsuki Bakugou!"

Isla was barely sitting in her seat, looking between the two boys intently. Bakugou had a look of intensity in his eyes, but wasn't his usual eccentric self. He was eerily calm in demeanor. Todoroki. He almost looked unsure. Not necessarily nervous. But something in his resolve was different than his match with Midoriya.

"BEGIN!"

Todoroki immediately launched a very calculated ice attack, not like his flurry in his match with Sero, or even with Midoriya. He was trying to overwhelm the blonde and make him exhaust his power. It appeared to be working; eventually a wall of ice separated Bakugou from the rest of the ring. For a moment things were quiet. But them something began to echo throughout the stadium. Isla swore the floor beneath her was vibrating.

"What's that terrifying sound?" Mineta squeaked.

A precise passageway broke though the wall of ice, and Bakugou propelled himself forward.

"He used his explosions to tunnel through the ice!" Kirishima shouted.

"These two are insane!" Kaminari added.

The blonde was headed straight for Todoroki, specifically targeting his left side, no doubt in an effort to get him to reflexively use his flames. Clearly it was going to take more for that to happen Todoroki quickly changed positions on Bakugou, who quickly answered by grabbing him and throwing him close to the boundaries of the ring. A wave of ice formed under his feet as the two-toned boy kept himself in bounds.

Mr. Aizawa offered some commentary as their battle continued. "Bakugou timed his explosions and went for Todoroki's left side on purpose. His aptitude for this is becoming more apparent with every fight."

Isla rolled his eyes. Even the teachers were putting him on a pedestal.

"Todoroki is doing well, so far," the homeroom teacher continued. "But his attacks are far too simple. Something has changed, and it's not to his advantage."

Out of the corner of her eye, Isla caught the glow of Endeavor, standing with his arms crossed over his chest, literally looking down on his son. Where everyone around them cheered for their top pick for this final match, the Number Two Hero just. Stood there.

Back in the ring, Bakugou continued his attacks, still targeting Todoroki's left side, and Todoroki was doing anything and everything to deflect his advances with ice attacks. But because of the overuse, his body was starting to be affected by it. After a sloppy counter attack, Todoroki stood motionless, frost starting to cover his body like his match with Midoriya.

Isla looked back to where Endeavor was watching, he hadn't even flinched. Didn't seem at all concerned about what was happening to his son's body as he tried to prove himself. He was, quite literally, freezing his body. And the Number Two Hero could have cared less. He just stood there with a smug, disappointed, disproving look on his face.

"Bakugou's rushing his classmate at full speed!" Present Mic announced

Todoroki still wasn't moving. Everything was going in slow motion when she heard his broken voice in her head. [I remember she called my left side unbearable. Before she poured boiling water over my face]. Tears stung at the corner of her eyes as Isla stood to her feet and called out to him. "Todoroki!" His head jerked to Class 1A's section, locking in on her. "Keep going! Just do your best!"

Flames started to form on his left side and Bakugou had a smug expression on his face as he turned his body into a human missile, launching himself into the oncoming attack. But as Isla watched everything unfold; Todoroki's flames began to fade, until they were completely extinguished and Bakugou plowed into him with a force similar, but not nearly as powerful, that the heat from the blonde's explosions, combined with the ice around the ring cause a thick layer of steam to cover the stadium.

The spectators were quiet as everything started to clear. Then, section by section, Isla could hear the gasps until it was finally clear to see. Todoroki out of bounds. Passed out on an ice structure. She could feel the entire class watching her. Still on her feet, she exhaled the breath she was holding, now watching Bakugou.

"Hey!" his hoarse voice echoed through the stadium. "Hey!! Stop messing around!" The blonde grabbed Todoroki's unconscious body by the collar of his PE jacked, lifting half of him off the ice. His limp body sent a shiver down her spine and she felt like she might be sick. "There's no point in this if you don't fight with the same power you used against Deku!!" He continued to yell. "This isn't a real win for me unless you try harder!! It's not supposed to end like this!!"

From behind him, Midnight pulled back the sleeve of her costume, releasing a rose-colored dust in the air around Bakugou. He continued his rant for only a moment more before completely passing out himself. Isla covered her mouth as her stomach retched.

"Todoroki is out of bounds!" Midnight finally announced. "Which means our winner is Katsuki Bakugou!"
