Chapter 19: That Crazy Teammate
/I was worried I would throw up if I heard another word from him!/ Simi said.
/Next stop, the gym. And the guard is out of sight too./ Kat said enthusiastically
Naomi found her way to the change room and unlocked a locker that had no name on it. She folded the gym clothes in and turned the locks quietly.
/Great Job Naomi. You need to get out of there, fast./ Simi ordered.
Naomi heads out of the school unnoticed. She had parked Lauren's bike behind some bushes, far away from the school premises.
Naomi mounts the bike and heads back to the hideout, reminding herself to spare paint Lauren's bike once she's home

"She locked the door!" Lauren said heading down the stairs.
Kat and Simi were eating their noddles without a care in the world.
"Are you even listening?!" Lauren snapped, making Kat choke on her food.
"She locked her door and she dared to rip my clothes!!"
"She ripped two of your shirts Lauren." Simi corrected. "She ripped ten of mine when I tried to get to know her." she adds
"She ripped twelve of mine." Kat laughed.
"Really? Woah." Simi chuckled.
"HELLO!!!" Lauren yelled.
"Keep your voice down, would you? We have neighbours." Simi reminded.
"We do?" Kat asked in excitement.
"No interactions with non-agents remember? People get nosey but you always have to keep your mission in mind." Simi sighed.
She had learnt that the hard way when she made friends during one of her missions…her non agent friend almost got shot and the agency had to opt for a memory wipe.
Simi would never forget the look in her eyes when she told her what had to be done for the safety of the agency.
"Deal. Can I see them?" Kat asked hurrying to the balcony where the swimming pool radiated with a lovely shade of blue in the night sky.
"Kat, slow down." Simi laughed.
Lauren groaned in annoyance; no one was paying attention to her! Why would they choose to ignore her!!!
She's going to get even for sure. The only thing holding her back is the rules they had to follow. The hideout must be in one piece when the mission is over. Or else, it would be taken out on their monthly pay.
If it wasn't for that rule, Lauren would have knocked down Naomi's door a long time ago.
"The house over there," Simi said, pointing to the house on the cliff. The security lights were on and the house was looking really beautiful.
"Woah. It looks amazing." Kat said in awe.
"It is," Simi said absentmindedly, as she recalled the shadow she saw the night before.
Green eyes staring down at her.
She was sure she'd seen those eyes somewhere…
Some place.
"It's so cold…." Kat muttered, her teeth chattering.
She had jumped into the pool while Simi was lost in thought!
"What are you doing? You could catch a cold." Simi scolded.
"Yes mommy" Kat laughed.
Simi shook her head.
Of course, she was the 'mum' of the team. It took a lot to head a team as excellent as theirs! And that includes keeping everyone out of trouble.
