When the girls reached the penthouse, they found that Yang Li was taking a nap in his room. There were still a few hours left and therefore the girls decide to take a rest before getting ready for the event.

An hour later Yang Li woke up when he got a call from Zhou Jin. While he was talking to Jin, the door of his room opened and he saw Xue come in.

He smirked when he saw her walking toward him in a timid manner. He signaled her to come closer.

Xue was nervous when she entered the room. She had become more conscious about such things ever since they had confirmed their relationship.

The cold and aloof Bing Xue would behave like a teenage girl in Yang Li's presence. When she saw Li signal her to come closer, she felt her heart thumping loudly. She walked towards him and when she was about a meter from him, he suddenly grabbed her hand and gave her a little pull. She was surprised by his sudden movement and found herself falling. However, she made no attempt to stop the fall. She found herself in the embrace of Yang Li, who was lying on the bed.

At this moment they were very close to each other. She was lying on top of him as he held her by the waist. She was lost as she looked into his obsidian black eyes. She was in a daze and found Yang Li's face coming closer to hers.

Yang Li took the initiative and kissed Xue. As their lips touched, Xue was woken up from her daze. She found Yang Li sucking her lower lip while his hands roamed around her body. He gave her ass a squeeze which caused Xue to yelp out a moan. This allowed Yang Li to further deepen the kiss. Their tongues entangled with each other as they were lost in throes of passion. Yang Li's hands started moving towards Xue's top. He started playing with Xue's breasts. As Yang Li started fondling them, a shiver ran through Xue's body and she moaned again.

As they were lost in passion, they didn't consider their surroundings. Yang Mei was outside Li's room and had already knocked twice. But there was no reply. She got impatient and opened the door and entered.

She opened the door and said, "Li! It's time to get up an....."

However, she stopped talking after looking at the scene before her. She realized that she had walked in on a make-out session between her brother and Xue. She gave a small cough and immediately turned around. She left the room after saying, "Please continue, I was never here,"

As soon as Mei left the room, Xue immediately pushed Yang Li and got up. She was flushed from embarrassment and a red tint could be seen right up to the nape of her neck. She glared at Li and said in a cute manner, "This is all your fault. How will I face sister Mei now??"

Li grinned and said cheekily, "Don't worry. She is not an outsider. She might even be happy with our progress. Now don't talk about others. Let's continue."

On hearing this Xue snorted and said, "What continue!! Are you crazy? You should quickly get up and get ready. Otherwise, we will be late for the engagement." After saying so she rushed off from the room like a frightened rabbit.

Yang Li was amused by her actions.

After about an hour all the girls along with Yang Li assembled in the living room. They were all looking gorgeous.

Yang Mei wore a red pencil dress with red stilettos. Bing Xue had put on a black sundress with white pumps and Song Jue was wearing a dark green strapless dress with black ankle boots.

Yang Li was completely dressed in grey. He had a grey shirt and a grey waistcoat. He wore grey denim with black shoes. He didn't wear a mask but still had a flat cap on with black aviators.

Bing Xue felt dazed as she looked at Yang Li. This was her first public event with Yang Li. She was both a little nervous and excited.

At that moment the elevator opened and they saw Zhou Jin enter the living room. He looked very sharp and handsome. He was dressed in white. He wore a white suit with cream-colored boots.

The group then set out for the party. They took the Range Rover and the jeep. Yang Li, Xue, and Mei were in the jeep, while Zhou Jin and Song Jue were together in the Range Rover. Yang Li noticed that his sister was trying to create opportunities for Zhou Jin and Song Jue.

The venue was around 30 minutes from the penthouse.

As they reached the venue, it was already filled with guests. All kinds of beautiful and luxurious cars were lined up outside the Lincoln Resort. One could also spot many paparazzi. The atmosphere was ebullient and festive.

Yang Li and the rest entered the resort after parking their vehicles.

There was still half an hour left for the engagement ceremony.

The group entered the resort and started mingling with the crowd. Yang Mei and Zhou Jin as CEOs were immediately surrounded by various businessmen and acquaintances. They started engaging in conversations with those people.

Only Yang Li, Bing Xue, and Song Jue were left. Soon, Song Jue also separated as she wanted to talk to some work colleagues.

Yang Li as usual was not interested in initiating any conversation with unknown people. Similarly, Bing Xue also wasn't keen to interact with anyone. She wanted to just accompany Yang Li and enjoy his company.

Yang Li looked at her and said, "Xue'er do you also want to meet someone?"

When Xue heard his intimate way of calling her, she felt very sweet in her heart. She liked it very much, however she did not show it on her face.

She walked toward Li and held his hand. She said, "Naah, let's get some drinks and enjoy the ambiance."

Yang Li was ecstatic with her reply. He found it tiresome to make small talk with strangers. However, if Xue'er wanted to do so, he would accompany her. But Xue'er reply made him happy and the couple made their way to the bar counter.

After taking their seats they ordered their drinks. Li ordered a single malt whiskey whereas Xue ordered a cocktail.

They sat beside each other, enjoying each other's company.

Li asked Xue, "Xue'er…. Do you like such parties?"

She replied, "No…. Not really. When I was young, I used to accompany my parents to such parties. However, after my mother's death, I never liked going to such events. By the time I was a teen my 'new family' had started ignoring me. So, again I didn't attend such parties."

Li winked at her mischievously and said, "Then let's bail and find a secluded area to continue our earlier 'conversation'."

After hearing his words, she pouted and said, "You have become very shameful and naughty in these past few weeks. WHAT IF someone catches us. This place is full of paparazzi. It will turn into a full-blown scandal."

Li smirked and said, "So, it's fine if we are not caught…. Hehehe….Xue'er your mind is so dirty!!"

Xue'er was stunned by his words. However, before she could reply a group of people walked toward the bar counter.
