There were five people in the group- Song Liu, Song Jiu, Yang Ling, Yang Ruowei and Yan Ya.

Yan Ya was 23 years old and the youngest child of the Yang family. She was the daughter of Captain Yan Peng and Yang Su Zhu. Her father, Captain Yan was killed in action when she was 4 years old. She had a vibrant and cheery personality like her mother.

She wanted to enter the entertainment industry as an actor but her family opposed it. Although she couldn't enter the industry, she studied filmmaking. She was currently doing her masters in film study.

The group took their seats near the couple and ordered their drinks.

With the exception of Yan Ya all of them had met each other previously. Although Yang Li was wearing a cap and a pair of aviators, the rest of his face was visible as he was not wearing a mask today.

Both Yang Li and Bing Xue were immersed in each other's company and they failed to notice the impact of their presence on the crowd, especially Yang Li.

Although only partially visible, his face looked as if it had been carved by the Gods themselves. Not only the women but also the men were distracted by his appearance. They were all anxious to find out the identity of this devilishly handsome mysterious person. They started gossiping amongst themselves. Some girls were glaring at Bing Xue as they were jealous of her.

Xue felt the gaze on her and looked in their direction. She found that a group of young ladies was scowling at her. She looked around the room and understood the situation.

She nudged Yang Li and said, "Look what you have done! You have made me the number one enemy of all the ladies present in this place. They are all glaring at me, ready to eat me alive."

It was not that Yang Li was oblivious to his surroundings, it was just that he simply didn't care.

Li snorted and said, "Firstly, you should ignore all insignificant people and only focus on me. And secondly, the only person who can EAT you is me."

Xue blushed when she heard his shameful words. She was about to scold him when somebody called out-

"Brother Li? Is that you?"

The couple turned towards the voice. It was Yang Ling who had called out to Li.

Yang Li had very little interaction with his cousins even before he left the Yang family. The only person who was acquainted with him and his sister was Yang Ling. She was the only one who was good to Mei when they were younger. However, he was surprised that she was able to recognize him after 15 years.

On the other hand, when the group of five had walked toward the bar to order drinks, they had noticed the beautiful couple, especially the man. Yang Ling was able to recognize Li as she remembered his face when they were young. He had always been very handsome. More importantly, she recognized Xue from the shopping mall. Xue was accompanying sister Mei. This allowed her to connect the dots and identify Yang Li.

Li looked at her and after a brief pause nodded and said, "Yes."

On receiving his acknowledgment there were gasps heard in the group. Everyone was surprised. Song Liu had always had his suspicions about this brother-sister duo. However, Yang Tian and others had never said anything. He was also not able to find anything from his sources. But he always felt that there was a connection between them and the Yang family. Today his hypothesis was proven correct.

Yang Ruowei was shocked as she recalled the banished siblings. She had very little contact with them. She was always close to Yang Tian. And as Yang Tian was hostile to Yang Li, she had also distanced herself from them.

Yan Ya had no contact with them, as she was much younger than the siblings. She had only heard about them from her mother. However, her mother was rather close with the sibling's mother.

Finally, after hearing his reply, Yang Ling shifted her seat and sat in front of the couple. She had a genuine smile on her face.

She asked him, "Brother Li, how have you been all these years? How is aunty? Are you going to come back to Yang family? Will yo..."

Yang Li cut her in between and said with a cold demeanor, "Sorry but we won't be coming back to the family. Sister Mei, Mother, and I have all been doing well."

It was a terse and cold reply. Even Xue gave him a pinch and signaled him to be more polite.

However, this didn't deter Ling. She continued and said, "It's alright. I understand."

She turned to Xue and said, "Sister-in-law let me introduce myself formally. I am Yang Ling, brother Li's Cousin."

On hearing her address Xue was a little surprised but felt happy. She returned her greeting.

Even Li's mood improved after hearing her introduction.

Ling then introduced others in the group to Bing Xue and Yang Li. Yan Ya became dazed and flustered when she was introduced to her handsome cousin and beautiful cousin-in-law.

They started talking to each other. The Song brothers also joined the conversation. Song Liu had confirmed his earlier suspicions and was comfortable, however, his brother Jiu was still baffled by the revelations about the siblings.

Song Liu said, "So, Mr. Yang, is a member of the Yang family. I always thought that you and your sister had some deep origins. When I first met you, I thought that both of you belonged to some nobility of a foreign country. Who would have thought that you were sister Yang Ling's cousin?"

"Anyways…. Cheers!!"

Saying that Song Liu raised a glass of wine before he emptied it in a single gulp.

Yang Li looked at him nonchalantly.

He raised his glass and said, "Cheers!!"

"However, Mr. Song you are mistaken. My sister and I are not part of the Yang's anymore."

Song Liu raised his eyebrows and said, "So the rumors are true."

Song Jiu was puzzled and asked, "Brother, what rumors?"

Liu sighed and said, "It is said that 15 years ago, a pair of brother-sister and their mother were disowned by the Yang family."

"It was always a rumor with no way to confirm it, until today."

All five of them were looking at Yang Li for further clarification. However, Li was oblivious to them, enjoying his whiskey and staring at Bing Xue without a care in the world.

Song Liu sighed at his reaction. Since the day he met these siblings, he had never been able to gauge them.

Suddenly, Yang Ling interrupted the awkward silence and said in a gentle tone, "Brother Li, it has been a long time. How about we have a get-together?"

"I have missed sister Mei and you so much. I hope we can have a nice meal."

"Sister-in-law, you should also come. It will be fun."

The rest of them were surprised by Yang Ling's tone. She was usually proud and indifferent to people. However, her current gentle attitude surprised everyone.

Yang Li looked at Xue. She gave him a nod.

Yang Li said, "Sure why not. I will ask my sister first then I will send you the date and time."

Suddenly a voice was heard.

"What will you ask me??"

The group saw two people walking toward them. One was Yang Mei and the other was Song Jue.

"Sister Mei!!" Yang Ling shouted. She looked quite excited.

"Sister Mei, I was asking brother Li for a get-together. It has been a long time since we gathered together. I wanted to catch up with the two of you. I invited sis-in-law as well."

Yang Mei was amused by the address and said, "Why not. Let's have a get-together next week."

"Li you have to arrange it."

Yang Li gave her a nod.

Suddenly a quiet voice said, "Can I come too?" It was Yan Ya.

Everyone turned their gaze on her.

Yang Mei said, "Aiyaaa…. it's little Ya!! You have become so beautiful. Last time I saw you were not even 10 years old. Sure, Little Ya you can come as well."

Yan Ya blushed hard on hearing Mei's words. Yang Ling giggled when she saw Mei teasing Yan Ya.

And so, the conversations continued. The atmosphere was happy and jovial.

Suddenly, there was an announcement by a person. He said that the engagement ceremony would start in 15 minutes. All the guests were requested to take their seats.
