"This is Desmond Shaw and this is my close sister Sophie Knox. They are from Westphalia."

Yang Mei introduced the two people who had accompanied her back to their table.

Similarly, Yang Ling introduced the others to her friends. Both Desmond and Sophie stared at Yang Li and Bing Xue when they were introduced by Ling, especially Yang Li.

Yang Li was indifferent as always but Bing Xue did not like how Sophie was staring at him. She was very jealous. Although, she reprimanded herself for feeling this way she couldn't help it. She didn't understand how she had become so possessive of him. She had always been very distant from the opposite sex. However, since the first time she had been drawn toward Yang Li. She sometimes preferred when he wore his masks and disguised himself. She simply didn't want other women to see him. But she was happy to see that Yang Li didn't give Sophie a second glance.

As they continued to talk, they had an understanding of these guests from Westphalia. Sophie Knox belonged to the richest family in Westphalia. Desmond Shaw was the heir of the Shaw family. The other three were Kate Watson, Liam Watson, and Richard Lee. Kate and Liam were the heirs of the Watson family and Richard Lee's family owned the largest law firm in Westphalia.

Soon another group entered the Hall. It again attracted the attention of everyone. The group consisted of members of the Wang and the Xi family. Wang Lei and his sister Wang Yao along with Xi family's heir Xi Fan made their way to congratulate the new couple. Wang Yao didn't look happy. Many were aware that Wang Yao liked Yang Tian. However, the relationship between the Wang family and the Yangs had never been cordial as these two were the most aggressive amongst all elite families. Both of them were vying for supremacy. Therefore, an arranged marriage was out of the question and love played no role in such relationships.

The current marriage alliance was also a strategic one and had nothing to do with feelings. It was simply a coincidence that Tang Xue loved Yang Tian. Yang Tian also liked her but whether he truly loved her nobody could tell.

Even if there were no feelings between them, the outcome would have been the same. All children of these elite families especially the direct heirs enjoyed immense power and prestige. However, such privileges came with their own restrictions. Many of their life decisions were not in their own control, especially in marriages. Most of them were political and strategic alliances to strengthen the overall standing of the family. There were no feelings involved. It was for this reason that both men and women of such noble families had affairs and mistresses.

The atmosphere turned heavy with the arrival of the Xi and the Wang family. Wang Lei was notorious and shrewd. Many businessmen would avoid him. He was as vicious as a snake. Similarly, the Xi family was part of the underworld. People would avoid them like the plague, especially Xi Fan. Xi Fan had a bloodthirsty aura that would make people uncomfortable. After congratulating them, Wang Lei, Wang Yao, and Xi Fan moved toward their table. The table was adjacent to Yang Li's.

After they sat down, Xi Fan's attention was caught by a lady at the adjacent table. He was mesmerized by her beauty. He continued to stare at her.

Yang Mei felt somebody staring at her. She looked and saw a person on the adjacent table staring at her. She gave a polite smile and continued to talk to Yan Ya.

At the same time, Wang Lie took this opportunity and approached Sophie. He introduced himself and they started talking.

Wang Yao was already irritated by this engagement. She saw her brother ignoring her as he talked to the foreign woman. As she turned to Xi Fan, she found him staring at the beautiful woman on the adjacent table. She frowned and said, "Brother Xi! Why are you staring at her? Don't be fooled by her looks. She's a nobody."

Xi Fan replied in a dismissive manner, "It's not like that. I've recently dumped a girl. I'm looking for a new girlfriend and she will do. It's not like I'm looking for a wife."

Wang Yao smirked and said, "So brother wants to sleep with her and dump her afterward."

"Brother, should I talk to her?? She must be a friend of sister Yang Ling. It will be her honor to be your girlfriend."

Xi Fan said, "No need. I will talk to her."

He got up and walked toward Mei. When he was in front of Mei he said,

"Hello, beautiful! I am Xi Fan from the Xi family. You have a beautiful face and figure. How about you become my girlfriend and come to my table?"

Everyone at the table turned and looked at Xi Fan.

Mei replied in a polite manner and said, "Sorry I am not interested."

Xi Fan replied, "But I insist."

Mei said, "Please go back to your table and don't make a scene here."

Suddenly Wang Yao got up from his table and shouted, "BITCH! How dare you reject brother Xi? Do you kno…."

SLAPPP!!

Yang Mei gave Wang Yao a tight slap. Wang Yao staggered and she was about to fall down when she was caught by her brother.

"Wang Yao! Are you out of your f**king mind? How dare you call my sister Bitch."

Not only Wang Yao but also Wang Lei was stunned. They became stunned after knowing the identity of the beautiful woman. Wang Lei immediately composed himself and said to Mei, "Miss Yang, I apologize on behalf of my sister. She was not aware of your identity."

Mei looked at Lei and said, "Mr. Wang, irrespective of my identity your sister shouldn't have been so crude."

"Is this how the ladies in the elite families behave. It's quite disappointing."

Saying so she sat down. When he heard her words, his eyes became cold but he soon regained clarity. He took his sister and excused himself. Xi Fan also followed him reluctantly.

Mei looked at Yan Ya and found that she had become very quiet. She was a little frightened when Mei slapped Wang Yao.

"Little Yao what happened? Don't be scared. These things are very common."

Yan Ya nodded and gave her a smile.

Opposite Mei, Song Jue said, "Sister Mei, that was a beautiful slap."

And gave her a thumbs up.

On hearing this both Yang Ling and Sophie burst out laughing.

The atmosphere became livelier with their laughter and the incident was soon forgotten.

However, Yang Li took out his phone and sent a text to someone. This action was noticed by Bing Xue. She smirked at Yang Li who winked back at her. Apart from Mei, only she was fully aware of his capabilities. She knew that a single text message would have an adverse effect on many people in the capital.

The group resumed their conversation over drinks and food.

Outside the Main Hall-

Three people were gathered here.

Wang Yao screeched, "AAAHHHH!! Who is that BITCH! How dare she slap me. I'm going to end her."

Wang Lei thundered, "STAY!!!"

"You've caused enough problems for today. Can't you control your tongue? We are in the territory of the Yang's."

"You picked a fight with someone close to the Yang's that too Yang Ling. Are you becoming more stupid by the day?"

Wang Lei then turned to Xi Fan.

"Brother, what do you think?"

Xi Fan said, "I want that woman."

Wang lie said, "Brother don't be hasty. Let me first investigate her and her connection to the Yangs."

"There will be plenty of opportunities to get her brother Xi Fan."

Xi Fan turned to Wang Yao and said, "She's mine. So, you better not involve yourself or don't blame me for what happens."

Saying so Xi Fan left the resort.

Wang Lei, "Little sister you are already so old. You should control your emotions and not act impetuously."

Wang Yao said, "But Brother she hit me. I want payback. And now brother Xi Fan is also infatuated with that bitch."

She was not reconciled.

Wang Lei replied, "Sister don't worry you will have your revenge. Also, we can use Xi Fan's infatuation. Just be patient and leave everything to me."

Wang Yao said, "Ok brother I will leave everything to you."

After their talk, the brother-sister duo went back to the Main Hall and took their seats.
