Next day-

Yang Li arrived at Zenith at 11 a.m. The atmosphere was very lively. Her mother was not in her office. She was in a meeting. It was to introduce the new CEO to the upper management of Zenith.

Yang Li waited in her office. While waiting, he dozed off.

After an hour two women walked into the office. One was Yu Rumeng and the other was the newly appointed Han Xi. When Rumeng saw Li dozing off on her chair she let out a smile and walked toward him.

On the other hand, when Han Xi saw a strange masked man dozing off on Chairman's chair, she was surprised but she remained calm. She saw the Chairman walking toward the man with a smile on her face.

When Rumeng was standing next to Li she called out, "Son, are you going to greet your mother or not?

Or will you continue acting?"

On hearing her words Li opened his eyes and stood up.

He mumbled, "Why don't you fall for my act? It works on others."

"Because I'm your mother you idiot!" replied Yu Rumeng.

Then she stepped forward and hugged her son.

She then turned towards Han Xi and said, "Ms. Han, let me introduce him to you. This is my son Yang Li."

Han Xi was surprised by Yang Li's introduction. However, she remained composed. She extended her hand and said in a steady tone, "Mr. Yang it is nice to meet you. I'm Han Xi the new CEO of Zenith Enterprise."

Yang Li shook her hand and said in an indifferent voice, "It is nice to meet you too."

Han Xi could feel the change in his tone when he talked to her. It was cold and indifferent.

She felt wary of him.

When Yu Rumeng saw her son's reply, she interrupted and said, "Ms. Han don't mind him. He is like that to everyone."

Han Xi replied, "It's alright Miss Chairman. I don't mind."

She continued, "Actually, I have an urgent call in five minutes so I'll excuse myself."

She then quickly left the office.

When she left the office, Rumeng scowled at his son and said, "Son why are you so cold to everyone. Han Xi is a nice lady. Can't you be a little nice when you talk to her?"

Yang Li simply shrugged in response.

Rumeng sighed. She couldn't do anything about her son.

She suddenly turned toward him and said, "So, I heard that you have finally started dating?"

Yang Li looked at her and said, "Yes. Her name is Bing Xue. She is a cardiothoracic surgeon. She is currently working in MLH."

"Yes, I heard about her from your sister and your brother. She sounds lovely."

"When are you going to introduce her to me?"

Li said, "Don't worry Ma, soon."

"Finally, I can have some peace. I thought that you would die alone and miserable. Tell me in advance when you bring her."

"I will make ample preparations. I have to trap her and make sure that she won't leave you. Otherwise, you will really end up as a lonely old man."

Listening to his mother's ramblings, Li's face had black lines.

He finally said, "Don't worry Ma. She loves me too much to leave me. She won't leave. It's the same for me."

Rumeng was surprised to hear the word love from her son's mouth. Her iceberg-like son had never interacted with any girl since he was young.

He had always been brilliant however, he had always been very lonely.

At times she felt helpless as she couldn't really help him emotionally. Sometimes she would regret her inactions when she was in the Yang family. She felt guilty that she couldn't protect her children when they were young.

Therefore, she wanted both her children to find true happiness. She wanted them to have loving spouses and beautiful families to help them heal the scars of their childhood.

Although, she was surprised by his words she was also very happy. Her boy was finally in love. She felt ecstatic.

Although her own life had become a mess after marriage, she still cherished the good memories with her husband. The time when they were in love and all their beautiful memories together.

Sure, he disappointed her later and failed her when she needed him the most. However, she did not regret marrying him.

Furthermore, her two kids were her greatest pride. Both her kids especially Yang Li, had always been very mature for their age. It was their support fifteen years ago that allowed her to escape the toxic environment she was in.

Her children's support allowed her to sever ties with the Yangs. They left the fame and fortune that the Yang family would have given them.

Whenever she would reminisce about the past, she would feel sad about the hardships her children faced. However, she would also feel proud and lucky on giving birth to such amazing kids.

Yang Li had finally found his better half. Only Mei was left now. Suddenly she heard a voice, "Mother what are you thinking?" this caused her to break away from her thoughts.

"Nothing Son!"

"And do you know if your sister is dating anyone?"

Li replied, "No, she is not."

"Ahhh…she has always been such a workaholic. I heard that she had a boyfriend briefly. But I guess it didn't work out. Since then, she has become even busier with her hospitals."

"She is just like you in this regard. Very distant to people especially men and lonely."

"Now that you have found someone, only Mei is left."

Rumeng looked at her son and said, "It's now your responsibility to find a good match for your sister."

Yang Li immediately said, "NO! I will not interfere. She can do whatever she wants and I will support her. But I cannot interfere in elder sister's matters, especially her love life,"

"Who is asking you to interfere?? You just have to find suitable matches and send their information to me. I will take care of the rest." Said Rumeng.

"OK, Mother. I will do as you say. But you cannot force anything on sister."

Rumeng burst out laughing, "Pfffttttt.... Hahahahah."

"Since when have I been able to force anything on you two.

Of course, everything will depend on her decision. But I will present her with suitable options. Only in this way will she interact more and allow herself to be in a relationship."

"Okay enough chit-chat now."

"How is everything at YLM?"

Li said, "Everything is alright. There are no major issues."

Rumeng said, "Great. With the appointment of Han Xi as CEO, I would be very busy for the next few days. Why don't you bring Bing Xue next week so that I can meet her?"

Li said, "Ok, I will bring her to meet you next week. I'll be going then."

Li got up and gave his mother a hug. After he left her office, he felt someone's gaze on him but he ignored it. He left Zenith and headed toward the shopping mall.

The girls had decided to meet up at Wonder World Mall. They shopped for a few hours before stopping to eat a meal at a restaurant.

The three girls were all very beautiful. They would turn heads wherever they went. Even when they were sitting in the restaurant waiting for their meal to arrive, they were constantly being hit on by men.

Qin Ran spoke aloud in irritation and said, "These pests have been hovering around us for so long. It is so irritating."

"There are no private rooms here as well."

Song Jue said in a humorous manner, "Maybe we can ask Xuer's boyfriend to buy this restaurant so that we can have some privacy."

Qin Ran turned to Jue and asked, "Is her boyfriend very rich?"

Ran said, "Interesting!"

She asked Song Jue, "So, you have met him. What is your take on him?"

Jue said, "I don't know. It was just his aura which scared me a bit."

Xue interrupted their conversation and said, "There is nothing scary about him. He is a cutie pie. Don't you dare slander him Jue'er."

Jue laughed, "Pffftttt...what cutie pie.... Bing Xue you truly have become like a teenager experiencing her first love. Haven't you?"

Ran asked Jue, "Ok let's skip that for now. Tell me how does he look? Is he good-looking or not?"

Jue replied, "I would only say one word- 'Heavenly'."

On hearing this Xue chimed in and said, "This is the first thing that she has said that I agree with completely."

Qin Ran was stunned by her friend's childishness and Song Jue was laughing her ass off.

They finished their meal and left the restaurant.

When they reached the exit of the mall, Xue told them that Yang Li was coming to pick them up. Song Jue also decided to stay at Xuer's house for the night.
