As the girls walked out of the mall, they saw a black jeep parked across the road. They walked towards the jeep. A man was sitting in the driver's seat and was playing with his phone.

When Qin Ran saw him closely, she was stunned. Although Song Jue had told her about him, she still felt that her description didn't do him justice.

Yang Li was wearing a pair of black aviators and a white mask. His long and lustrous obsidian black hair was tied into a ponytail. He wore a red T-shirt with baggy cargoes and military boots. Despite his T-shirt, she could easily make out his ripped figure.

He sat there lazily playing with his phone. However, despite his blithe attitude, his every action was elegant and measured.

Xue frowned when she looked at him.

She quickly moved toward him and said, "Why are you wearing so little? It is cold now. If you don't wear more. You will get a fever."

She asked him, "Where is your jacket?"

Li pointed towards the backseat. She quickly picked it up and said in a soft voice, "Wear it quickly…okay…."

Li obviously knew why she did this but he didn't mind at all. He put on his jacket and opened the door for her and her friends.

While all this was happening, Qin Ran was gaping at the couple from the back seat and Song Jue was laughing so hard that she started to tear up.

Jue said, "Don't worry. You will get used to it."

Qin Ran stuttered and said, "B..But it is not cold at all. Did she just make him wear the jacket so that nobody would see his hot body? And he wore it immediately as if she said the right thing."

"WHAT the hell is happening?"

Jue continued to snigger when she heard Ran's words. She leaned close to Ran and said, "They are like this with each other. They don't give a f**k about anyone or anything. But when one of them asks something of the other they don't question it. They just indulge each other. And it is the same for both of them."

"It is kind of weird and romantic at the same time."

Ran was still thinking about the couple in the front seat when she heard Xue say, "I really like this jacket. You should wear it more." Yang Li smiled in response.

However, suddenly Ran smirked and chimed in, "I think the red T-shirt looks better than the jacket. He looked hotter in the T-shirt."

Xue turned around and glared at Qin Ran and said, "Nobody asked you, missy."

Jue burst out into laughter and Qin Ran also sniggered.

Ran said, "If you don't believe me, you can ask Jue'er."

"Heyyyy…. Do not drag me into this. I've no comments on this matter." Said Song Jue.

"Psstt coward…. Okay fine. Let's just agree to disagree." Said Qin Ran.

And the debate ended in this manner. As the journey continued, Xue thought about her actions just now. When she saw Qin Ran staring at Yang Li, she really felt jealous. She needed to cool down a bit. She had become very possessive of him. Even more, than Yang Li was of her.

However, lately, it had been difficult for her to manage this possessiveness. And although Yang Li didn't mind it all she still had to be careful. She smirked when she thought about her actions. Maybe both of them were actually psychos. They just hid it well.

She again smiled at having such thoughts.

When they were en route Yang Li received a call from Han Kai. He told Xue to pick up the call and put it on the loudspeaker.

As soon as the call was picked up Yang Li heard Han Kai's excited voice, "FINALLY…..Finally brother you picked up my call. Where have you been? Are you on a date?"

As soon as the call was picked up everyone's attention was on the call.

Li replied, "Stop speaking nonsense. Why did you call me?"

Kai snorted and said in a cute voice, "Because I missed you brother.."

"Pfffttttt...Pffftttt….hahahahahahaha…."

Both the girls in the backseat burst out laughing on hearing Han Kai's reply.

"Who was that brother?? I hear at least two girls laughing near you?" asked Han Kai.

He continued, "That's not fair bro…you are enjoying yourself alone. What about me?"

"Does sis-in-law know that you are out there enjoying yourself with other girls? And not just one but more than one."

"You are now in a committed relationship. Therefore, you cannot indulge in such philandering behavior."

"As your close brother let me help you out of this predicament. Send their contact information to me and I will handle them."

"I will take this burden off your hand. Or you can give them my contact number. Either way, I will save you and your relationship. You do not need to thank me. We are best friends after all."

As Han Kai continued his rant the three girls were astonished by the amount of selfless bullshit spouted by him.

Yang Li simply said, "If you do not have anything useful to say I'm ending the call."

Han Kai immediately changed his tone and said, "W..W…Wait, brother. I have very important work with you. Don't be mad. After all, we are best brot…."

Li interrupted him and said, "Just get to the point."

"Okay. So, I went to the date I mentioned earlier. It went smoothly as I had planned. I told her about my feelings for Shishi and how it is better if she tells her parent that she rejected me."

"She seemed okay with what I told her and agreed to play along with me."

"However, when I came back my father called and said that she told her father that she liked me and wants to go on a second date."

"Since she was supposed to break it off, I didn't tell my parents anything and now my father thinks that it went well and he is forcing me to go out with her again."

"What should I do? I'm stuck now. Why don't you come with me on our next date and distract her with your face? Maybe then she will lose interest in me. You need to help your brother out."

Before Yang Li could say anything, a cold voice directed toward Han Kai said, "Are you looking to die?"

Of course, it was Bing Xue. It was the cold and distant Bing Xue whom Qin Ran and Song Jue were familiar with.

When Kai heard the voice, he felt shivers down his spine.

Kai said, "Sis-in-law you are with brother!! I didn't know that. Brother Li are you trying to get me killed? Sis-in-law I've been spouting nonsense for the past few minutes. Don't mind me. I was just brainstorming ideas. Nothing serious."

Xue was not happy that Li's 'brother' was trying to divert a girl's attention by using Yang Li as bait.

Bing Xue, "First tell me about your situation. I will give you some ideas. Not the bullshit you have been spouting."

Han Kai quickly explained his situation including everything about Zhou Shishi. After listening to his predicament Xue said, "Firstly, go and tell your parents about Zhou Shishi. Secondly, man up and make things clear with Shishi. Your cat and mouse game with Zhou Shishi needs to end before someone gets hurt."

Yang Li took over and said, "You have been told what you should do. Now don't call me until you have done what Xue has told you to do…Bye."

And before Han Kai could say anything Yang Li hung up.

After the call ended Xue turned to Li and said, "I think I don't like Han Kai very much."

"Me too, I also don't like him that much." Replied Li.

"But he keeps coming back so I can't do anything about him."

Xue said, "That's fine, he's your childhood friend after all. But you can never listen to his rubbish ideas, especially about love and women."

Yang Li said, "Why will I listen to someone who has not been able to confess and commit to a girl he has loved for more than 10 years?"

Xue said, "That's good then."

The two girls at the back were listening to their conversation with great interest.

They reached Xue's apartment in half an hour. The girls alighted the jeep. Bing Xue kissed Yang Li. Li bade them farewell before leaving.
