Sudden predicament..

Back in the secret realm, Aarth was pondering on his next step forward. He has already reached the peak of the Mortal realm. Based off of the inheritance, if he wanted to go further, he must gain insights on laws.

It is said that despite people at the peak of the mortal realm having the same strength, the combat prowess is not.

The more one has insights in laws, the more combat power you have! Of course, the law one gets insights on also has to be correspondingly strong.

Otherwise, the raise of combat prowess is nothing much, just so-so.

This was Aarth's current predicament. Ignoring the fact that he didn't know what law to gain insight into, he didn't even know how to begin getting insights in laws!

The inheritance he received didn't include this information. Or rather it did, but, getting insight into laws is all about fate.

Some people are successful in it, some people are not, and perish. However, there is no shortcut to getting insight about laws.

It's directly connected to ones talent. If you're not talented enough, despite being a genius and reaching the peak of the mortal realm, you would never be able to take the next step forward and enter the heaven ranks.

"Do I just sit in a cultivating position, and wait for it to come?", Aarth stupidly thought. Of course, he knew it was stupid, but it was the only thing he could come up with.

"Or..", he reminisced about the novels he has read in his past life, "Do I just live as a mortal until I gain insights?".

Aarth thought the latter could be true. In most novels he has read out of boredom, when the protagonist was stuck, they just casually go out and live as a mortal. An example of doing so, is farming.

And then after that, they get lucky and break through their predicament. "However, I don't have the protagonist aura that they have..", he realized.

Though, something broke him out of his thoughts. Through the space-tracking device he never took away from Lorn, he saw a terrifying scene!

In his vision, buildings were razed to the ground, fire ran rampant everywhere!

In the sky, there was a sword, that seemed to cut through everything! in its way, everything was destroyed!

Holding that sword, there was a middle aged man. Of course, this middle aged man was the elder who came to kill Aarth.

The elder was naturally not stupid as to reveal his real appearance. Aarth was afterall, a Qi sovereign.

Were he to go back to the Edwin family after seeing his appearance, as long as he targeted the younger generation, no one will be able to stop him!

At that point, the consequences would be disastrous!

As someone who has reached a very high level in cultivation, without being cautious, he would have already been dead by now.

Due to this, he distorted the surround light, and made his figure into a middle aged man. As for why he chose the appearance, the elder didn't bother to care.

He just killed a random middle aged man along the way, and changed into his appearance.

The elder felt no shame, for he naturally thought that mortals should serve cultivators.
