Stifling a yawn I climbed out of bed.
Once I did I got ready for the day.
After which I headed for school, where I went through the same motions as the day before.
Working on my own ideas and plans during my morning classes, hanging with Harry and Ned, verbally sparring with Gwen during our AP classes, and avoiding or downright ignoring any and all of Flash's attempts to bully me.
I then repeated this for the rest of the week until before I knew it Friday afternoon had arrived.

Closing my locker door I then grabbed my bag and my board.
"Hey, you want come over to my house?" Harry asked me.
"Sorry Harry, I can't." I replied. "I've got something to do."
"Does it involve a certain smart blonde?" He asked. Giving me a look.
"No." I replied.
At least not this weekend.
But in the future, it's possible.
Though that's for later.
"The thing is I filled out an application for something akin to a science grant and I'm waiting to hear back." I explained.
Given I haven't heard back from the Future Foundation yet.
"Oh really. With who?" He asked.
"I bet it was the loser nerd brigade." Flash suddenly spoke.
A smirk on his face as he walked up to Harry and I with his entourage.
"Actually Flash the application I filled out was for the Future Foundation. The organization founded by the Fantastic Four." I explained. "You know the heroes. Who like me are also "nerds" as you put it." I said. Putting nerds in air quotes. "So hey, with that logic are you calling the Fantastic Four nerds. Or how about Tony Stark/Iron Man. Since he to is also a quote unquote nerd?" I asked.
Given that Tony has already become Iron Man, his background his MCU origin.
Moving his lips Flash worked to find a comeback, only for no words to come out of his mouth.
The same for the rest of his entourage.
Who were all left spechless at my logical rebuttal.
One that I think even Mr. Spock would find most logical.
"Yeah, that's what I thought." I said. Putting a smirk on my face. "Well if you've got nothing else to say then Harry and I will be on our way." I said.
I then walked past Flash and his posse.
Harry following right behind me, using a hand to stifle his laughter.
Unlike several others who just witnessed me use logic to shut down Flash and his group.
Exiting the school Harry gave me a soft pat on the back. "Damn Pete. That was amazing."
"Thank you. And remember I'll be here all week." I replied.
Placing my board on the ground and then stepping on.
"Bye." I said.
I then took off.
But I didn't head for home.
Instead I headed for an abandoned building I had been scouting for the past couple of days.
Since I wanted to use it as a testing ground to measure the current level of my spider powers.
The underground train station being too small for such an endeavor.
Arriving at the building I headed inside.
I then placed my bag and board to the side before slapping my hands together a few times.
"Okay. Let's do this." I muttered.
I then pulled the stop watch I had in my left pocket put and started it.
I then took off running, mentally calculating my own speed as I continued doing so, stopping after only 30 minutes.
Finding myself not even winded or tired in the slightest.
I also clocked my speed at 250 mph.
So both super speed and super stamina go in the check box.
Putting the stop watch back in my pocket I walked over to some fallen debris and began lifting it.
Continuing on the same track until I actually began feeling my muscles start to strain.
Which happened after I lifted about 10 to 12 tons. More 12 than ten.
So super strength is also check.
Once I confirmed this I ran straight at a wall and then jumped toward it, finding myself sticking to it immediately.
Confirming I possess the wall-crawling ability like numerous other spider people.
Though unlike Bully Maguire I don't have the little pricks on my hands and feet.
Instead I am manipulating the flux between interatomic attraction and molecular bond layers like the power was described in the original Spiderman comics.
Putting a smile on my face I began climbing up the wall until I felt I reached an adequate height.
Then once I did I kicked off and spun through the air, until I landed stop a stack of rubber, supporting myself with only my left foot.
Confirming to myself I have super durability, equilibrium and agility.
Once I did this I messed around with my powers for a couple more hours.
Working to gauge my own abilities even further.
Until eventually I decided to call it a day and head home.
Given that I was unable to test certain abilities on my own like regeneration, containment immunity, and of course the iconic spider sense.
Those will have to wait until I finally suit up.
After arriving home I hopped in the shower.
I then headed into my room and pulled up my email.
Almost losing my mind when I discovered not only had the Future Foundation sent me a reply to my application, but that they had accepted it and wanted to arrange a meeting for tomorrow.
Seeing this I didn't hesitate to agree.
Once I did I began preparing.
For I didn't want to look foolish in front of Marvel's first family.
