Misunderstanding

“Lola do you have feelings for George?." Lola was shocked by what Madison was saying she was beginning to wonder who gave her this information.

“Lola I need you to be sincere."

Lola stared into her eyes nodding, she was about to explain that it was all a matter of the past but she had to keep talking without listening to her.

“Now, I know what's going on, if you keep insisting for me to believe you then you are wrong, I've heard it first but I never thought it would be true, and also not only that you want to make my life a living hell...”

“Who told you that?.” Lola yelled, cut her off.

“What Lola? Why are you so surprised? Okay since you are so adamant to know who then it's George. He told me how to be careful of the people around me and when he mentioned someone might cause a living hell for me he told me that it was Uncle Ben trying to cause dangerous acts. And for you, I've seen it now, now I've finally seen how deceiving you could be and a cheat just to get someone. Tsk,..."

She raised her head stopping the urge from crying as she sniffed her nose.

“Lola I thought you would be that type of childhood friend who wouldn't ever think of betraying me and that type of childhood friend who usually protects me like how she would protect her kingdom but now I don't think she exists anymore, the friend of mine who I once knew is no more.”

“Madison..." Lola tried to hold her hand but she retrieve her hand.

“Don't you touch me, you think I will just believe what you would just say, you think I am that naive little girl but you are wrong."

She pointed her finger at her.

“Lola, I'm no more than Madison you use to know I'm beginning to have responsibilities now, and this girl, well this girl is beginning to change!!." She said yelling at her.

“Lola I think that we should spend time apart some of us need to think well with this situation at hand." She said turning her back before running out of the area.

Lola just stood at the place, lost of emotions to act. She was speechless, all she did was stay in the same position defenseless of what to say.

Lola knew what she must do, she knew she had to have hope because it was Madison who was going to cause the kingdom trouble and she needed to help her so she could not make a silly mistake. When Madison spoke about break up it made her speechless leaving her with a numb body.

Lola started to flow tears out of her eyes,

“With what you have said you are right, someone has to think well about this situation, I have to think of how to protect you and the kingdom with or without your knowledge and not as your friend but as the protector of the kingdom,” she said wiping her tears.

Madison ran to her room landing on her bed she began to cry, she knew Lola might be telling the truth but what could she do nobody was to be trusted especially someone living close to her uncle.

Though she was shocked when George told her about this she had to logically think about this and be able to save herself from danger, besides she didn't want to be so silly about who she should trust. And Lola would understand her but what could she do now other than break of their friendship for the time being? As for now, she didn't want to doubt George at any cost.

“Madison…” she heard a familiar voice calling her raising her head only to see the voice was coming from him.

“George.. George." She said running towards him to give him a tight hug crying on his chest.

“It's alright now… You could stop crying now, I'm here so stop crying." He said gently patting her back, his chest was already filled with tears of Madison. Since she didn't want to stop crying, he carried her in a bridal position and placed her on the bed.

“What happened?.” he asked her when she calmed down a little.

“George…”

She sniffed

“ Lola, she is the one who will we should be careful of, she tried to separate us by manipulating me..” she paused “She..she"

"What did she say," George asked curiously.

" She said you have some kind of plan in taking the kingdom. She said your love is all for getting the kingdom from me and nothing else. But I denied it, you can't be that person, I know you wouldn't, I know you know how dearly I think about this king…"

Madison couldn't finish the sentence because George kissed her right at that moment at least to shut her up. Though the kiss was deep, even when to the station of the mouth, going to the stage of engagement of saliva, George just savored her lips hungrily.

She finally opened her eyes when George removed his lips. George cupped her cheeks and lifted her head to see his face.

“I promise you Madison I have nothing to steal nor snatch anything from you except for your heart." He said with passionate eyes, revealing his back way truth.

Madison's eyes had already swelled up from the crying so George asked her to take a rest since her head might be aching. He placed her under the sheets and was about to leave when Madison held his hand. He looked at her only to see that she had pleading eyes;

”Please could you stay with me?." She said

"Okay, I'll stay until you sleep." He said as he slept beside Madison, smiling at Madison. She placed her head on George and within seconds her eyes became heavy.

“Madison…" he said in a low voice.

“Hmm…" she said as his eyes began to switch off and on as George hugged her a little tight.

“I'm sorry… Madison I have to do this to you, I've realized doing this would only keep you safe from your uncle. He is a man worthy to be part of those who are cruel, a snake and very vile person. He claims to be an uncle but he's not… he wants to cause suffering to your family to make you his advantage. He wants your father dead, if I'm able to marry you then get the kingdom I'll be able to get him arrested and we both could live a happy life. You defended me when Lola made the accusation and I'll also protect and defend you from those petty snakes. But your friend is right, I'm not the right person for you neither am I a good man nor am I the person you know but I promise you once all this is done I'll make sure to make it all right."

He lowered his voice looking at the sleeping beauty as he embraced her kissing her on her forehead.
