Rex Can't Handle It

The frenzied sound of the audience squealed, they clapped and shouted in admiration after the performance.  Because the way the sexy dancer shakes her body accompanied by thumping music and remixes is really tempting, but among the sexy dancers, there is only one woman who is stunning and attracts the attention of men.

"Yona!"

The brown-haired girl turned her head when her name was called, she approached the manager of the nightclub, panting for breath.

"You look as usual. Amazing!"  praised the 32-year-old man.

Yona smiled.  "Good! Thank you."

"This is your payment. Well, I'll go first, beautiful. Remember! Tomorrow night comes again."

Yona nodded and looked at the back of the manager who disappeared in the crowd.  Yona saw some of the bills, her face turned cheerful to replace the tiredness earlier.  Many praised her, for her good dancing.  Yona has a big dream that has not come true, she wants to become a famous dancer.  But, Yona resigned that she could only give up her hobby in night entertainment.

Yona pocketed her money and was about to leave, but her legs froze as the men stared at her with disdain.  This is what Yona hates, she hates so much!  Always get naughty stares from men, teenagers, adults, and even old people.

Yona does often date men but that doesn't mean she doesn't have self-respect.  Yona only dates the men she wants, of course, one of them is handsome, not old, and not fat.

With her long hair draped over her exposed back, she continued on her way.  Suddenly several men blocked her way, Yona walked backward but her body was stuck and someone's hand was embracing her.

"Hello, baby!"  said a handsome man who was much more mature than Yona.

Yona swallowed her saliva when she looked up.

Yona felt the man's hand starting to move up and touch her chest.  Yona quickly pushed the man and ran.  She heard the man chatter, but she ignored it.  It's a common thing, cause Yona is a beautiful girl, very beautiful, no wonder many men tease her.

His fate was not good, because of the necessities of life, her education, and the fate of his other siblings in the orphanage.  Yona had to work at a young age. Fortunately, in every performance she will wear a mask or veil as an attribute of the show, otherwise, she will surely become the object of ridicule from her classmates or the object of ridicule, because of her profession as an entertainer.

Shrouded in the dark sky with the stars, Rex sat outside.  He had been looking at his cell phone for a long time, hoping it would ring from a woman he was waiting for. Usually, Rex will hate it if there are women who know his private number.  Different this time, he even gave his number willingly to Biyan.

"Should I call her first?"

"Ah... no I would look so cheesy."  Rex felt ridiculous at the strange feeling that had plagued him the past few days.

Rex called someone.

"Hello, sir. Can I help you?"  Answer the guy on the other end that Rex called.

"I'll be back today, prepare everything. I'm the only one going home, Javier stays here to finish everything!"

"Understand, sir."

The call ends, while Rex waits for the elevator to open.

Ting!

The elevator opened and someone entered. Just as he entered his cell phone rang again.

Seeing who got into the elevator made Rex reluctant to pick up his cell phone.  The man put it back in his pocket.

The tension immediately occurred because it turned out that Dili (Rex's half-sister) was also in this skyscraper.

Although Rex and Dili are legal half-sisters.  However, their relationship was never warm.

"How are you, brother?" Dili asked

"Fine, stepbrother!" Rex replied curtly.

Ting!

The elevator door opened and it turned out that it was Dili's lover who entered, while Dili immediately stepped out without greeting her lover.  Hearing the word "step-brother" was already annoying enough for him.

"Contact me!"  said her lover after Dili got out of the elevator.

"Mm..." Dili answered without looking at her.

The elevator closed again. The woman turned to Rex.  "Long time no see," she greeted Rex.

"Yeah," Rex answered without looking at the woman who turned out to be his former one night stand.

"How are you?"  asked the woman again with a clear gleam in her eyeballs.  However, Rex remained cold not seeing the slightest.

"Fine, just like you," Rex replied.

"Me? Fine? No. It's still pretty hard to forget that one night love," the woman tried to recall the abbreviated night with Rex that she never even remembered.

"I heard you're getting married?"

"Mm . . . with that man. your step brother," she replied calmly as if this marriage was her way of venting her obsession with Rex.

 Ting!

"Congratulations on your engagement."  Rex stepped out as soon as the elevator doors opened, with the woman's gaze fixed on Rex's back.

"Until now..."

Rex was silent for a moment when he heard the woman speak again.

"I still can't get over that night. Strange isn't it? You may have changed another woman as your nightstand but, I'm still locked in there."

Rex left without answering the woman. The ding of the elevator signaled that the doors had closed again.

The ringing of the phone stopped Rex again, he reached into his pocket. "You're back? You left me alone." It turned out that Javier was on the other end of the phone.

"You can handle that yourself. My plane is waiting. It's a big project, I have more important things to do!"

Rex ended Call. Javier looked at his cell phone, it seemed that there was no such urgent problem in the office. Javier shrugged his shoulders and left the office.

Rex was already annoyed that the babydoll had not contacted him. With a heavy heart, he decided to call Biyan. On the first ring, the cell phone was picked up.  Rex was so happy, how could any woman resist his charms!

"Baby," Rex said too softly.

The person on the other side covered his mouth at the sound of a man's voice heavy yet soft like cotton flying in the wind.

"Hello."

The voice did not belong to Biyan.  Rex pulled the phone away from his ear, looking back at the name on the sign. That's right it's the baby doll, "how can that phone be on you?"  the gentle voice had turned intimidating.

"Sorry, I borrowed Biyan's cellphone to send a message, I thought you were my friend who called with a different number."

Unlucky!  Turns out she hasn't saved his number yet. "I want to talk to Bab-, Biyan."

"She's at work. Just say and I'll tell him," said the girl, Biyan's workmate.

"I'll tell myself, tell her I called and call me back!" call ends. Rex stepped back into his car.

 ***

Biyan came. "Someone called you earlier, he said to call him back."

"Mm..." Biyan took her cell phone and then saw who the incoming call was. Seeing the number, Biyan failed to call him. She prefers to put the phone in her pocket getting ready to go back to work.
