Chapter 46: Dragon Mate, No Thanks

Jack

Jack's hair blew in the wind as the dragon flew close to high cliffs. In front of a cave, it tossed him inside like a ragdoll. He skidded along sand and rock, cringing when his knee slammed into a stone, then he clipped his chin on a skull, and struggled to remain conscious. The rear wall terminated his momentum and knocked the wind out of him.

Dragons swallowed a man whole or nipped off pieces of a body and let him linger in agony for days. The scent of decayed meat, piss, and smoke churned his stomach. Despite his busted knee, bleeding chin, and bruised ribs, Jack scrambled to his feet. Only one escape route. Except for light pouring in from the entrance, the lair was in shadows.

"Stop toying with me and get it over with." He wouldn't make it easy for her. Until he was dead, he would keep fighting. I hope you choke on my bones.
