Adeline
Adeline frowned as the jet lurched into the air. Damn it. She was sixty minutes or more behind Jack, and she didn't have the gift of second sight. The earliest flight out of Greece was on Lufthansa Airlines to New Orleans. She could make calls on this international flight since Lufthansa permitted in-flight phone use. Jack didn't have a cell or she'd yell and order him to wait for her.
When she found him, she wasn't sure if she would punch him or kiss him. She'd never chased a guy across the world before. Of course, it's only so he doesn't get himself killed.
Her cell buzzed. After she checked the screen, she debated sliding it to ignore.
"Hello?" She forced her voice to be chipper.
"Where's the mark?" Emmie, her bounty hunter boss, asked, her tone dark and brooding. Oh, she'd been stewing over the mark all right. "It's been way over your usual twelve-hour tag 'em record."
