Chapter 68: Get Me A Ticket Out Of Here

Jack

Jack hurried down to the hotel's laundromat. Luckily, three dryers tumbled, and no one was around. He hated stealing, but he needed clothes. Hopefully, he'd scrounge something up. Somehow score a plane ticket, but he'd be more likely to find a discarded lottery ticket than that. Clothes first, plane second.

Earlier, Adeline's mother looked at him as if she thought he was a helpless baby who needed her daughter to take care of him. He'd prove her wrong and protect Adeline too.

After checking all three dryers, he found pants that were three sizes too big, women's clothes, swimsuits, and towels.

Damn, no cash and no clean clothes. His dirty stuff was probably already washing. Dodging an elderly man leaving the laundromat, Jack kept going. A vacuum roared from around the next hallway.

Curving the corner, he spotted an unlocked hotel room and two ladies tidying up. "Excuse me."
