Adeline
"Let's go, Cyra." Adeline pushed her mother through the door and closed it behind them. The woman was impossible; no wonder Ty didn't tell her about Alice. Their mom was a busybody.
"Jules's shop will do nicely." Her mom punched numbers on a cell while her heels clicked across the hotel lobby.
Under her breath, Adeline cussed. She'd been in a hurry to get her mom away from Jack, she hadn't bothered to put on her boots.
Outside, her mom hailed a taxi, and when she peeked at the woman driver, she said, "No thanks. We'll take the next one."
The female taxi driver flicked her off and sped away. Ah, the joys of being a succubus-human females hated them and actions like her mother taking away payment didn't help any.
Finally, another taxi pulled up, and they climbed in.
"Where to?" The male driver started his meter as he drew away from the hotel curb.
"Jules." Her mom reapplied her lipstick and tossed it back into her purse.
"Sorry, ma'am, they're closed now."
