Chapter 134: Trapped

Carla

Carla found herself in a hazy world. A presence surrounded her, foreign yet familiar, as if in a vision. She couldn't tell where she was or open her eyes. The voice deep inside her, begging her to rouse was important. Sleep and everything will be fine.

"Carla, wake up!" Again, words rang in her mind, this time more insistent.

She tried to focus on the words. If she knew what it wanted, she could stop it.

"Move away from the door."

Wait. It was Ty. What door? And what was Ty doing in her home? Had she been dreaming?

Slowly, coldness sunk into her bones, and she shivered against the hard floor. The image of Ty carrying her down here in this dungeon made her stomach clench. No, not Ty, Zarna. They must be getting close if Zarna drugged and locked her down here. Still, Carla's head swam, but she forced herself into a sitting position.

"That's it, sweetheart." Ty's voice inside her head encouraged. "Now move away from the door a few more feet."
