Chapter 135: Moonstone, Mine

Ty/ Zarna

Today's youth was so easy to prey upon. Zarna hummed to herself as she strolled through the temple in search of Carla's handbag and the moonstone. So gullible. She never thought beyond the first or second phase. Sprinkle breadcrumbs in a corner and they ate it up like foolish children.

Zarna would reign here. As an Oracle, she gave fortunes to all who could pay a price. She didn't turn away supplicants and declare them unready to know the future.

She kicked aside scrolls. A cell phone buzzed, and she followed the noise to a blanket on her Victorian-style couch. It would be the first place she'd tell Ty to make love to her to wipe away the memory of his first time with Carla. She sneered. One thing all of the futures hadn't shown her was that she'd have no access to the foretelling gifts, while in Ty's body. He had them and the bastard didn't even know how to manipulate them.
