Carla
Carla's body was weightless. Formless. Yet, she felt as though huge porcupine quills stabbed her everywhere. No, it wasn't an animal, it was worse.
Zarna. The woman's laughter echoed in Carla's mind until she heard nothing else.
"Carla!" Ty shouted.
Terror jammed in her chest. Before, when she'd been sealed in this white cell alone, she knew what it meant. Zarna had won, but then the woman appeared in here with her. At first, confusion filled her, while Zarna gloated that Ty made love to her the second after they locked Carla in the moonstone.
"Ty imprisoned you in the dungeon on his own, so that you wouldn't find a way to keep us from being together." Zarna sneered. "Then he rescued you before our ritual."
"No." A knot formed in her stomach as she thrashed against Zarna's hold. Where was the woman taking her anyway?
"Guess you're too stubborn to realize the truth. Ty loves me. He never cared for you."
