Chapter 141: Happily Ever After

Carla

Two Months Later

Carla woke in a sweat, ripped awake from the same dream. The crystal clock, the werewolves had given her for returning their moonstone to them, blinked five a.m. Three times this week. Beside her, Ty lay sleeping, his naked body draped across hers. His presence was a buffer against the fear pulsing in her veins, reminding her she was safe. In her vision, Ty bounced a boy and girl on each knee. Both had his sapphire eyes. They giggled and squealed. Around them, greens and pinks with colored teddy bears lined the walls.

Was her gift trying to tell her to let Ty go? That if she did, he'd be happy with someone else and father twins? She laid a hand to her chest, the pain like a dagger stabbed her heart. She wanted to be with Ty, but he'd never have children with her. The word echoed in her mind. No, she'd fought for him and he had for her. Hell, they could adopt a hundred children.
