A different perspective

Wavy dark blue lines flashed through Esther's emotions before disappearing without a trace. He was shakily acknowledging Lorn's reply, but something in him refused to believe the answer, immediately getting rid of this acknowledgement.

"I am confident the Premier wrote that part when she was sound of mind. You can see from the way she praises the scarlet moon. Later on, she could only mindlessly describe its beauty and grace, but in the passage you've read, she clearly acknowledges 'Her' deeds. It's different."

Lorn wondered how he should reply. Although Esther said that he wasn't going to fail him no matter what, it wasn't like Lorn was losing anything important by standing on the old cat's side. A little white lie never hurt anyone.

He paused for a moment, preparing his words.

"In that case… why not take her words as truth?" Lorn asked. "Perhaps the being on the moon, whoever 'Her' was, maybe she was genuinely trying to save the world."
