Tormented by loan sharks, Lorn had lived the life of an 'ascetic'. He would willingly become homeless and live the life of a beggar (and only sometimes a pickpocket), so his hard-earned money wouldn't fall into his debtors' hands. Hopefully, they would finally leave him alone after realizing he's worth nothing anymore.

But realizing his plans, the debtors decide to sell him as a guinea pig!

However, Lorn finds a once-in-a-lifetime chance. The researchers were creating a virtual world using the digital space. And to create profits from it, instead of simply creating boring-old Virtual Earth (and calling it the Metaverse), they were making a game out of it!

After their discovery, Lucas decided it was best to report to the king and the council. The latter agreed to reconvene soon, while the former came to the library immediately after hearing the news.

The king's entourage consisted of the king himself, a dozen or so knights, a scribe, and a younger man with clothes as fancy as the king himself.

Lorn heard about the notorious Second Prince of Vox. He was said to spend every day some degree of drunk, spend most of the day dragging along an entourage of whores, and that he spent most nights inside brothels instead of the palace. A polar opposite of the Crown Prince, who was the embodiment of perfection all around.

Today seemed to be a miracle as the Second Prince didn't look drunk, nor was there was a woman among the entourage.
