He shuts his eyes, thinking about what games they could play.
After a few minutes, he falls asleep again.
He dreams of playing games. He's doing fine until an enemy appears on the screen. When it finally dies, he wakes up.
Looking around, he realizes he woke up alone.
He sits up on the bed and looks around.
His gaze falls upon the game console sitting on his desk and he frowns slightly.
That's weird... I'm sure Natsu would've woken me up and we would play a couple games together.
He stands up and walks towards the table. The gaming console isn't plugged in so he knows that Natsu probably didn't use it.
But when he reaches for the controller, it's no longer there. He looks around and notices that the game console isn't plugged in at all either.
Haru looks at the game and remembers reading somewhere that the game had a glitch that caused it to fail. So why isn't it plugged in?
And besides that, he doesn't have anything else to do...
He shrugs and grabs the controller off the table, figuring that since Natsu must have gone upstairs, he probably dropped it or left it here without Haru realizing. He decides not to worry about it.
After he turns off the lights and exits the room he heads towards the stairs.
When he's halfway up, he hears voices coming from the other end of the hall.
They sound familiar.
He takes a breath and walks a little faster towards them, taking a few steps at a time.
Just when he reaches the end of the hall, he hears the voices clearer.
"You know, I'm surprised you don't think of her as family yet..." A male voice, that Haru recognizes as Katsuki's, says.
He freezes in his spot and listens closer.
He tries to hear more clearly, but the footsteps coming from the direction of their room are blocking everything else.
He slowly starts walking away but doesn't get far before hearing another voice, sounding suspiciously like his brother's, but lower, say, "I don't care if she's my sister or not! But I want to meet her!"
That's definitely Natsu's voice.
A part of him wants to turn around and face them. Another part wants to run to his room and lock the door, not wanting to listen to whatever they might say next. But curiosity wins.
He turns around and walks back to the end of the hallway. He leans his shoulder against the wall and crosses his arms against his chest, keeping his head low.
He hears Katsuki continue talking, saying he' ll show up soon.
He wants to see him too.
Then, as he thinks about it, he wonders how long it will take for Natsu to show up too. He's pretty sure he'd know by now if Natsu ever missed a day of school.
He has a feeling that this is only the beginning.
When Natsu shows up, he'll probably tell him about some exciting thing that happened today.
And it'll make Haru curious too. He really wants to know about this mystery person that Natsu seems to think he's related to.
Suddenly, Natsu appears from around the corner.
He grins happily when he sees Haru standing there waiting for him.
"You're early," Haru comments and Natsu nods.
"Yep. My brother said that the buses were running late so I didn't want to wait."
Haru nods and they start walking towards the exit.
When they pass by his house, they notice a few children coming up to the door. They seem to be talking amongst themselves and Haru watches curiously.
When they're close enough to see them better, Haru realizes that they aren't kids. They're adults. One of them is even older than Natsu.
The man's hair is completely white and his skin is wrinkled. He's wearing a suit with a red tie and white gloves.
The woman beside him, also dressed similarly to the man, has black curly hair with streaks of blond and brown.
Her face is kind of round and pretty, though she still looks quite old.
He's guessing that these must be his parents.
When Haru notices that the three kids are staring at Natsu, he turns his head to look at them too.
He furrows his eyebrows when he sees what the kids are doing
