Accidental Kisses

"Oh my God, I can't control it!" Calliope panicked when she felt the string slipping from her hand.

Callum immediately responded by grabbing the string and pulling it back. The wind was getting faster at this time and the kite was losing its control. Or one could say, it wanted to fly further from the controls of a human.

Both of them didn't realize at this moment how their bodies were touching each other. It was such a perfect sight of harmony that one couldn't help but want to capture the sight forever on a canvas.

The stunning man was embracing the woman in a yellow blouse and jeans from behind, their hands holding the string. Her hair flew with strong wind and touched his face. Only when her back brushed his chest suddenly and her soft scent entered his nostrils making him freeze for a second did both of them realize how close they were to each other.

Calliope flushed and panicked as she didn't understand what to do now. She had been embarrassed once again. It was already difficult for her to forget how this man had climbed the stairs holding her in his arms and now she was standing so close to him. At this moment, she had forgotten about the dire pain in her ankle.

The string from his hand slipped away when she wriggled in his hand embrace, her face now facing his.

As the string left Callum's hands, the kids yelled in excitement, running around each other. Emery accidentally bumped into Calliope's injured feet disturbing the latter's balance.

Instinctively, he grabbed her hand to save her from falling but in the process of saving her, both of them fell on the ground with a thud. His back hit the solid ground while her soft chest hit his study chest, accidentally their lips met and their eyes went wide. Their minds forget working for a minute. Hearts started pounding in excitement. Sparks flew everywhere and the sky turned pink.

Callum swore that he heard his heart scream 'Finally!'

After what seemed like an eternity did both of them realize how ambiguous the position they were in. She quickly stood up. But the pain in her feet was killing her now. If not by this pain, she would die of embarrassment. Oh, God, just what has she done?

She was flushed from embarrassment while he was still intact.

She accidentally kissed a man!

Not just any man but Callum Facci!

"Are you okay?" He asked her in concern. What a gentleman! He fell so hard on the ground and on top of that she fell on him. Yet, he was thinking of her.

She winced when she realized how her trail of thoughts was going in a bad place. Stop thinking about such a gentleman and start thinking of how to deal with this embarrassing situation

Could she please dig a hole and die in it?

Or jumping in the bluest ocean of the great Maisean empire was a better idea?

"I'm fine," Calliope said.

"No,  you don't like fine to me," Callum said curtly. He could see that she was barely tolerating her pain. He held her by shoulders and took her back to where she was painting and made her sit on the stool again.  He sprayed medicine on her foot again.

"I'm sorry, Cali. I should have taken you back," said Callum in a regretted tone.

"It's not your fault, Mr Facci," replied Calliope.

"Callum." He said.

"Excuse me?" She looked at him in confusion.

"Please call me, Callum."

Calliope smiled, "It's not your fault, Callum. It was an accident. Moreover, if we had gone back, I wouldn't have had so much fun here with all of you. I don't remember when I had such fun in my life."

"As long as you are happy," Callum smiled again.

While she was sitting on the stool,  Callum was kneeling on the ground applying ointment on her feet. There was only one woman capable of bringing the mighty Callum Facci on his knees. After a while, they heard someone playing the guitar.

They were a group of teenagers who had come for a picnic there. One of them was trying to show off his guitar skills to his girlfriend but was failing miserably.

"Poor boy, "Calliope muttered as she saw a flushed boy failing to play the chords correctly. She could see that he was trying to express his feelings to his girlfriend through music but there seemed to be a hitch in the plan.

Callum, who had seen the look of hurt on her face,  stood up after applying medicine on her feet and walked to that group of teenagers. He tapped the boy's shoulder to get his attention and after saying a word or two, the boy passed him the guitar.

What he did after shocked not just the group of teenagers but Calliope too.

She was left amazed at what the man next did!

All she could say was that Callum Facci was one remarkable man!
