Fly me to the moon

Callum sat in the middle of the group of teenagers. Setting the guitar on his thigh, he played while the teenage boy began singing. His strings accompanied with the boy vocals were perfect.

🎶  Fly me to the moon

Let me play among the stars

Let me see what spring is like on

       A-Jupiter and Mars

In other words, hold my hand

In other words, baby, kiss me 🎶

The couples in the group stood up to dance while the boy who was singing had his eyes locked on a shy and cute girl sitting opposite to him.

Calliope sighed. Teenage romance. Lucky were those who got to experience a teenage romance.

🎶Fill my heart with song and let me sing for ever more

You are all I long for

All I worship and adore

In other words, please be true

In other words, I love you🎶

It was such a beautiful and lovely scene that even Calliope was smiling from ear to ear. She was staring at the gorgeous man who was sitting beside a lovely couple with his eyes closed, his hands not missing a single string or cord.

She didn't know how many versions of Callum Facci she had yet to see. But every time, he managed to impress her.

Their first meeting was something Calliope would never forget. He managed to ignite a long extinguished ember inside her soul. She didn't remember when was the last time she got angry because of someone. But he managed to get on her nerves effortlessly.

In the second meeting, he apologized to her.

In the third meeting, he taught her the biggest lesson of life.

And today, he showed a version of himself that even she didn't realize he was capable of showing.

The music drifted to her ears, silencing the ripples in her soul.

🎶Fill my heart with song

Let me sing for ever more

You are all I long for, all I worship and adore

In other words, please be true

In other words

In other words

I love you🎶

When Callum opened his eyes after hitting the last chord, he found Calliope staring right at him. This was the moment he knew that he had to be courageous or someone else would sweep this beautiful lady off her feet and he would be left all alone to his misery.

She was a beautiful lady. Inside and out. He believed that common men like him would never win an extraordinary treasure like her. He had to speed up his game or else someone would end up winning her.

Now the question was how he should ask her out?

Should he ask her now?

Or later?

What if he missed the opportunity and she would be gone again?

But if he asked her out and she rejected him?

Would he lose the chance of becoming her friend too?

Then again, he would never become her friend. Those who vision friendship ended up getting friendzoned for life. He needed more with her.

Last time, he took time and he didn't see her for more than six months. Of course, he knew that he felt something for this woman but he didn't know what exactly. If he wants to know what he feels for her, he needs to date her, right? He wasn't like Santiago and Killian who married first and fell for the woman later. He was lucky to find the woman he liked first. History taught him marrying first and loving later had consequences. Painful consequences. Just look at Santiago and Persephone's love story.

Nope, he didn't want one such angsty story for himself. But something tells him that his love story wasn't going to be easy either. He might have to cross rivers of fire and embers.

He jerked out of his inner monologue when the crowd clapped and hooted as the song ended and the girl for whom the boy was singing kissed him before everyone telling him that she loved him too.

Ah, lucky kids. At least someone won a woman!

Callum's heart did a happy flip inside his ribcage Calliope gave thumbs up for helping the two lovers and he grinned in return.

Did he know that his boyish grin was lethal to young maidens? Calliope muttered to herself.

Thankfully, she wasn't a young maiden anymore.
