Chapter 81: Exploring

Naruto spent the first few hours in Uzu simply walking around and imagining how the village would have looked with people in it, the village looked vibrant. Still, the collapsed buildings and completely empty streets gave it an eery atmosphere.

Naruto felt melancholic walking through the remainders of the village, there were various signs that thousands of people used to live there, the destroyed houses gave you the feeling that they were all slaughtered which was what happened, the Uzumaki clan was too strong, their seals too fearsome and powerful, the combined strength of 3 major villages and their allies too much for the Uzumaki clan to handle, tens of thousands had stormed the village razing it to the ground destroying everything, the few survivors spreading across the elemental nations.

Naruto walked around looking through the remains finding remnants of various destroyed seals, from what he could see they were used to produce light, they were quite complex but Naruto already knew the exact seal as it was present in the Scroll of Uzumaki he just simply hasn't explored all the combinations he could create with the seals that he knew.

It amazed him how advanced Uzushiogakure was in comparison to other major villages like Konoha, they spent millions of Ryo a year producing electricity for lighting meanwhile it could all be automated and cost-free with a single seal.

Naruto then arrived at the place that he was looking forward to the most, it was the only building that was perfectly fine in the entire village, seemingly unaffected by time and the destruction around it, the lights inside the building glowing softly, it looked as if it was the most peaceful place on earth, its atmosphere calmed you down, the sheer presence of the building giving off an aura of authority.

It amazed Naruto what the power of seals could accomplish, the strongest barrier seal was strong enough to block the attacks of the Third Raikage, Second Mizukage, and Third Tsuchikage, perhaps even of a Jinchuriki although Naruto had no knowledge of there being a Jinchuriki present during the annihilation of the Uzumaki clan.

As soon as Naruto arrived within 10 meters of the building a blue sphere of pure chakra appeared around the building, it was designed to block out anyone who didn't have the bloodline of a pure Uzumaki, so originally Naruto would not have been able to access the building but thanks to his upgraded Uzumaki perk he now had access to the treasury of the Uzumaki, he was certain that he would find at least one of the Uzumaki treasures inside of the building.

So without halting his steps, Naruto continued on, getting closer and closer to the barrier, then, he stepped the final stretch and stepped through the barrier making ripples spread throughout it, the barrier glowed eerily for a moment as if checking whether Naruto truly was an Uzumaki before returning to its previous calm state, Naruto now stood in front of the entrance of the building.

The building itself was quite large, comparable in size to the Hokage's office in both height and width it was made mainly out of wood that had been coated in a beige color, and the frames of the building were colored red similar to Naruto's current hair color, if Naruto looked closely he could see hundreds of minuscule seals covering the walls of the building, many having to do with the ability to resist time and to automatically repair the building.

Naruto pushed open the entrance and entered a reception area, with various chairs and a reception desk in the center, a giant metal door behind it.

Naruto walked up to the metal door and attempted to open it to no avail, it was coated in hundreds if not thousands of gravity seals making it impossible to move.

So Naruto spent a moment looking through the Scroll of the Uzumaki before he found the way to open the door, there was a part of the scroll that was titled 'How to open the vault' which was most likely the way to open the giant metal door, the scroll depicted a specific pattern that you had to flare your chakra in to gain access to the vault which was blocked off by the ginormous door.

Naruto attempted to open the door and with his practically perfect chakra control he easily succeeded, the giant door glowed similarly to the barrier around the building and opened automatically not creating a single sound.

It revealed a set of stairs that headed downwards, it was well lit but Naruto wasn't able to see the end of it from where he stood, he was quite impatient so instead of walking down the stairs he instead jumped on the roof of the stairs and ran upside down, down the stairs, even like that it took him 2 minutes to reach the bottom of the stairs, he must've traveled downwards for at least a few dozen kilometers which was very impressive as it was extremely difficult to create such an underground base or vault.

Naruto was greeted by an amazing sight, thousands of kilograms of gold were stacked neatly upon each other on one side of the room, and various boxes of minerals littered the floor each in its own category, the further he walked the more he saw, the vault was absolutely massive, so as he walked he stored everything in his inventory.

He spent at least thirty minutes just storing away the various minerals that were present in the vault, he then moved on to the hundreds of weapons and armors that were stored in the vault, every single kind of weapon you could imagine was present, from a simple katana to giant war hammers, the armors were styled in the warring period era, when Naruto looked at their descriptions he was amazed, they all enhanced your affinity with a specific element, most likely designed for the person that would use it, they were all created using the highest quality chakra metal which amazed Naruto as the amount that he had found were enough for hundreds of people.

Then, he reached the end of the vault where a simple sign stood along with a scroll, the sign said that the scroll was only meant to be opened by the leader of the Uzumaki clan, and Naruto was technically the leader of the Uzumaki clan as he was one of the last members to still be alive and most certainly the strongest out of those still left over.

So Naruto took the scroll and opened it.
