Chapter 8

You aren't certain if you ever felt this defeated before, and that is considering that the Situation itself isn't even new to you, seeing as you've lost your last Family quite early as well. But having it happen a second time, and being as helpless as you were back then feels absolutely sickening, so much so that you for the first time in several Decades have to hold back your Tears, but you aren't exactly used to doing so, and thus fail quite miserably.

As you stand there bawling your Eyes out over the death of your Grandfather, you notice that your Guards have finally caught up with you, and you feel somewhat upset over showing so much vulnerability. It's bad enough that your Eyes refuse to stop crying, but that you can't even get a hold of yourself when in Company is just embarrassing, for what good is a Warlord that can't control something so simple as their own Emotions?

But despite all this stuff going through your Mind, you can't bring yourself to care about it, which is also somewhat bothersome, but then why are you thinking about this nonsense now of all times anyway, and why in all the Seven hells can't you stay focused for more than a moment? Though your Thoughts wander more often than you care to admit, this isn't normal for you, and you can tell that it isn't good, for your guess from the feeling alone is that your Mind might actually be breaking down on you.

The Pain in your Head continues to increase for a few more Seconds before it finally subsides, and you would gladly admit that you're actually relieved about it, which again isn't normal for you, and is simply because you had a rather absurd amount of trouble keeping yourself upright at its Peak, which is absolutely nonsensical. Well, at least you're spared any further Thoughts on the matter of your apparent insanity, when you realise your Face is just a moment away from greeting the Ground.

...

Waking up, you find yourself utterly confused in your Bed, and after thinking for a while you realise, that you have no Idea of how and when you got here, or how you managed to sleep for that matter. Though that is something rather unimportant compared to the Face in front of you, for instead of your Mother that normally wakes you, it was your Father that has decided to wake you up. And as if he wanted to further confuse you, he scares off the Servants just a moment later, so that the two of you can be alone, which you can't say you saw your Father ever doing.

It's a pleasant change, yet why he wants to be alone with you is beyond your understanding, as is why he seems uncompromisingly focused on getting you to sleep again, even though he was the one that woke you up in the first place. But while you're perplexed by it, and rightly so, you also know that no amount of moaning is about to grant you freedom, so you decide to try sleeping once more, for the time being that is.

"Can I get up now?"

"You can't, I've told you already, that you need your rest, did I not?"

"How much longer?"

"You will sleep until I wake you up, so quiet down now, for your resistance is futile."

"But you already woke me up, Father."

"So I did, what of it, do you lack anything you need to sleep?"

"I'm not sleepy anymore, Father, that's all."

"How hard can it be to sleep, little Lion, simply close your Eyes and the time will fly by in a moment."

Your Father has gone from sweet to annoying in no time at all, so you tried to sleep, but you can't do it, it's sadly the same as usual, so you play the Part, but even when your Father finally thinks you sleep he still isn't leaving you, just what is going on that he is acting this way? After an Hour and a half of waiting you try escaping once more, but the success is limited, for your Father is still acting out of Character, it's quite worrying.

"Are you all right, Father?"

"Why the Question all of a sudden?"

"Father, you seem off Today, is everything okay?"

"Nothing you need to worry about at the moment."

"Still, you should enjoy our time together, for when I will return to the Capital it will be for quite some time."

"And I won't have neither you nor Cersei and especially not Jaime start any trouble for your Mother, so there will be Lessons that I will teach you in the coming Months, it's why you had to get all the rest you could."

"I didn't do anything wrong, right?"

"You aren't angry with me, are you, Father?"

"I'm not angry with anyone, and you can be sure you would know if I were, but this is Important Azami, don't take this as a Punishment, it's for the good of our House."

"If that's what you want, Father."

"If that's what you want, Father, what's that supposed to mean little Lion, don't you want to learn how to make your Mother and Father proud?"

"Right, I do want to learn then."

"Good, that's the right Answer little one."

"So, when did I go to Bed anyway?"

"That hardly matters, now does it?"

"Right, it hardly matters, so how long did I sleep, Father?"

"You know I wouldn't let anyone else speak to me in that manner, don't you little Lion, see to it that I won't regret allowing it, and it's been two Days, just so you can sleep more soundly."

"Two Days, I've slept more than enough, why did I have to sleep even more?"

"Because I said you should sleep more, don't you trust your Father to know best when it comes to such matters?"

"Ugh, you're right, you're always right, so when do I get those Lessons?"

"After the Funeral, little Lion, after the Funeral."

"Whose Funeral, Father?"
