"Alright Xin, I will leave the village in your hands again." Gu Tan spoke while standing outside the wall. Next to him, Lee Che and Gu Chen were waving their hands. They were currently at the western side of the village.

"Don't worry, I will keep the village safe." Zhao Xin gave him a thumbs up and smiled.

"Now then, let's go!" Gu Tan, Lee Che, and Gu Chen started running towards the forest. After a minute, they were already inside the forest, it was this close. But, because of the previous rampage, there were fewer monster beasts on the edges.

As they faded away from her vision, Zhao Xin alongside three elders walked back to the village.

"Village Chief, is this place far?" Lee Che asked while running.

"It's in the area of High-Rank Monsters." Gu Tan replied but there was some serious expression in his eyes. Thanks to the pill, Lee Che reached the eighth stage but Gu Tan was expecting him to reach the ninth stage.

Thankfully, he did awaken the Metal and Fire Elemental Vein and finally started his elemental mage journey.

"Village Chief, there is one thing that I don't understand. Why did the pill that I used to awaken my elemental veins heal my father's elemental veins?" Lee Che asked upon learning the distance. In short, it was quite far and nearly takes a day.

"Actually, your father's veins aren't crippled. They are suppressed but in a way that it actually feels like crippled. My master made a deep scan on your father before and it took him three months to come up with away."

"Of course, he didn't think this way would be so easy. After all, releasing this suppression is like awakening the same veins twice. And, no one has ever awakened the elemental veins twice. Either it is a twin or three elemental veins, it can only be awakened once."

"This is why crippling one's elemental vein is harsher than killing them. I am not sure who did that to your father but they were truly cruel." Gu Tan explained.

Hearing his words, Lee Che clenched his fist and gritted his teeth.

"Those bastards! I will surely make them pay for what they did."

"So, you know?" Gu Tan opened his mouth wide as he asked.

When Gu Tan suddenly asked, Lee Che, opened his mouth wide and slapped his forehead.

"Crap! I spoke out loud?"

Gu Tan and Gu Chen rolled their eyes and nodded.

"So, you really know the enemies. Tell me more about it!" At this moment, Gu Tan's tone changed a little and became commanding. Gu Chen was a little surprised as well but he didn't mind.

Lee Che clenched his fist and didn't speak for a moment. But, when he saw Gu Tan's eyes, he finally sighed.

"Actually, I learned this very recently while cleaning our house. I came across father's journal where he wrote his adventures."

Hearing his question, Lee Che clenched his fist even more and lowered his head.

"Father wrote that every sixth rank blacksmith possesses a divine fire that will help them reach the seventh rank blacksmith and the divine fire is bestowed by the Divine Blacksmith Guild. At that time, father was still a young man so naturally, he would do something foolish."

"He fell in love with the young dragon that he found in a cave. She was a nice dragon or so he said. But, her bloodline was blocked and the only way to remove that blockade was by purifying the bloodline with divine fire. This would mean he will lose the divine fire."

"And, this caused a problem. He had an engagement with the Princess of Great Moon Kingdom. It was a political engagement due to his status. But, once he lost the divine fire, the Divine Blacksmith Guild started chasing him."

Father couldn't let go of his feelings for the dragon girl and started visiting her. Because she was still awakening her bloodline, he visited her often which made the princess suspicious."

This made the princess so heartbroken that she got internally injured and naturally, that made my veins suppressed."

"At that moment, nobody could save father so he decided to sacrifice himself. During his lifetime, he had built a weapon called a Bomb. This weapon was made out of the best material he found throughout his journey."

"And, at this moment, he threatened them to blow the entire kingdom with him. Naturally, they didn't believe it but someone did. Long ago, he had shown the princess the prototype of the bomb and what it could do. Because the bomb is in the middle of the kingdom, if it blows up, everyone will die."

"After the princess convinces them, they decided to stop this but only on one condition. It was the princess who made the condition. She would let the child live, and even the dragon but she must form Master-Slave Bond with the dragon."

"And, naturally, father disagreed but she used her last trump card which was me. If he doesn't agree, she will kill me and also kill them. With no choice, he agreed and thus Lee Jan's mother became my mother's slave."

"I hate to call her mother but if I think carefully, this is all Father's fault. But, I can't blame him either."

Hearing his story, Gu Tan and Gu Chen looked at each other and sighed.

"Since it has come to this, there is no need to worry too much. Gentlemen can wait ten years for revenge." Gu Chen patted Lee Che's shoulder and spoke.

"And, what about that bomb? Is it still useable?" Gu Tan asked.

Lee Che nodded his head.

"The bomb is the sole reason why she delivered me and Jan to dad. It's is dad's greatest creation and it could pretty much blow up the entire Great Moon Kingdom. Though for some reason father said something yesterday that blew my mind."

"What?" Gu Tan asked.

"He said he is going to build a weapon for the village, a weapon that will take nearly four years to create but once it is ready, it can be a great help for the village. I don't know what kind of weapon he wants to create though." Lee Che answered.

"Well, it doesn't matter what kind of weapon it will be. As long as it can help the village, it will be a great help. But, I never thought Uncle Lee was a jerk. Marrying a princess of a Great Moon Kingdom and cheating on her with the young dragon."

"He feels like scum to me. I suddenly feel like I should hold on to mother's idea." Gu Tan shrugged his shoulder while sighing.

"Yeah, your mother's idea is to make a harem for you. But, that will only make trouble especially if you are unlucky. If you love someone else, then don't try to be a coward and make relationships with others just for the sake of protection."

"You are not only bringing trouble to yourself but also to others. Hah! I never thought Lee was such a scum." Gu Chen nodded his head and commented.

"Come on! I am still here, you know? No matter how much of a scum he might be, he is still my dad and someone who protected us." Lee Che screamed upon hearing father and son's comments.

"Well, let's resume our journey." Gu Tan turned around while ignoring Lee Che and dashed away.
