Monster's Meeting

Next Morning,

"Hmm! It feels weird." Gu Tan rubbed his chin and muttered while running.

"What makes you say that?" Gu Chen turned his head at his son and asked. He doesn't feel anything weird at all.

"We have been inside the forest for a day and we have barely encountered any monster beast. I feel like something is wrong here. Anyway, let's try our best to hide our presence." Gu Tan couldn't help but feel skeptical as he moved forward.

[Master, why don't you ask a monster?] Long Hua suggests in his mind.

Gu Tan rolls his eyes and answers.

[Do you think monsters are kind enough to answer? And, I don't even understand the monster language.]

[Hehehe! Master, how could you forget about your cute and lovely dragon? I am also a monster by nature. I can talk to them. You just need to catch a monster.] Long Hua giggles in his head with her sweet voice.

Gu Tan rolls his eyes when she describes herself as a cute and lovely dragon. He felt like being a little bit harsher to her was a good thing. Now, she was much more open and tried her best every time rather than slacking off.

At this moment, Gu Chen and Lee Che looked at each other with confusion as they didn't understand what Gu Tan was doing. They were humans and the dragon pressure wasn't locked on them. So, unlike monsters, they didn't feel the pressure passively.

After a few minutes, Gu Tan returns to them with the answer in his mind.

"It seems Peak Rank Monster has called all of the Middle-Rank or higher rank monsters for some kind of meeting. But, I am curious what this meeting is all about since monsters normally do not have such a meeting."

"Wait, monsters also have meetings?" Lee Che asked with confusion. This was the first time he has heard something like this.

Gu Tan nodded his head and answered "Don't you know? Monsters are normally less violent than humans. But, we have a tendency to expand where monsters tend to stay the same place. We expand our territory in their territory, creating conflicts with them."

"According to my master, there are places where monsters and humans live in harmony. Well, not completely but it's just like a kingdom without a royal family. The Great Families are humans and monsters who live in peace but also want to take over each other."

"Anyway, this is good news for us. We can peacefully reach the inheritance place."

"Then, let's go!" Gu Chen nodded his head and dashed ahead of them. Gu Tan and Lee Che also followed him and finally, all of them rushed towards the inheritance.

[Hua, why do you think they are holding a meeting? I feel like monsters are up to something.] Gu Tan couldn't help but ask.

[There is no need to worry too much, master. Monsters normally hold meetings for festivals or something very important. And, on both occasions, we won't get involved. They won't invite us to the festival nor will they include an important topic.] Long Hua answered with her calm tone.

[Hmm! I don't know but I have a hunch that they are going to do something crazy. Hu!!! Let's not think too much. I need to get the inheritance and return back to the village as soon as possible.]

In the middle of Forest,

"Croco, you must have a damn good reason for calling me out here." A bear places his leg on the table while resting his back on the wooden chair as he spoke.

"Hey, Croco rarely calls us for anything and to call so many of us at once. I feel like the matter is quite meaningful." A leopard places his arm on the table and holds his chin while scratching the table with his nail.

At this moment, a crocodile sitting on the middle chair with his arms folded and eyes closed spoke "This matter is about the disappearance of White Dragon Soul."

For a moment, a strange silence flashed on the table. Tiger, Bear, Leopard, Elephant, Snake, and Sloth stared at the crocodile with silence.

"You are kidding, right?" Suddenly, Snake asked while moving her tail.

Crocodile opened his eyes with the serious gaze falling on them, he spoke.

"I am not kidding. White Dragon Soul has bonded with the Human from Xuan Village."

Bang!

"This is absurd. Dragons are the king of all beasts. And, White Dragon possesses pride above all. How could it bond with the human?" Tiger slams his fist on the table and speaks with the anger gushing out of his eyes.

Crocodile doesn't reply to him instead turns his head at a monkey. The monkey nods his head and walks jumps to the middle of the table.

"You should all know him, right? He is one of the successors of the Monkey Tribe. He is the closest of all monkeys to reach the Peak-Rank."

"Go ahead and show them!"

Crocodile introduces him while nodding his head at him. The monkey was wearing a yellow shirt with a pocket on the front. He takes out a few papers from his pocket and puts them on the table. The paper included the drawing that seems very close to the real picture.

And, it was the drawing of five people. Gu Tan, Zhao Xin, Zhao Yin, Zhu Ping, and Ming Shen.

"Hmm! Is it drawn by my people?" Snake turns her head at the monkey after looking at the picture and asked.

The monkey nods his head and spoke "Gu Tan, Zhao Xin, Zhao Yin, Zhu Ping, and Ming Shen. Thanks to my transformation ability, I was able to sneak inside the Xuan Village and learn something. These five youths have recently awakened their martial souls."

"And, all of them awakened Ninth Rank Martial Souls with exception of Gu Tan who awakened two Ninth Rank Martial Souls."

"What? Two Ninth Rank Martial Souls?" Leopard asks with its skin trembling for a moment. Everyone except for the crocodile was shocked upon hearing this. Just a single martial soul of the ninth rank was enough to shock them, not to mention two martial souls.

"Recently, Xuan Village has gone through some changes. First, for some reason, they made Gu Tan a village. Second, I sensed the bonding of the White Dragon Soul with him. But, for some reason, I feel like someone is watching me every time I try to go closer and learn more."

"Third, they recently suffered from Beast Rampage. Of course, this wasn't a normal rampage. It was made by two disciples of the Mad Demon Sect. And, at that moment, I found something interesting. Hearing his words, the beasts suddenly started trembling. Bear gulped down saliva and the next moment, a spark appeared in his eyes.

"You mean she possesses the War God Soul which has the ability to create Blood Energy?"

Crocodile nods his head and continued "I called all of you here because this is a major discovery. Although I am not sure if she can create Blood Energy right now, if she can do it in the future, we might be able to reach Great Monster Realm."

"Then, why are we waiting here? Let's go and grab her! We can easily force her to create the Blood Energy." Tiger instantly stood up with excitement in his eyes as he spoke. His legs started running away from the table

"Can you grab him?" Crocodile looked at the snake and asked.

Snaked sighed and her tail flew out of the chair and wrapped the legs of the tiger,

Thud!

Tiger got his face slammed on the ground. He stood up with rage in his eyes as he shouted "What was that for?"

"Idiot! Do you think we can force her to create Blood Energy? Or, I should say do you think we can force a War God to create Blood Energy?" Snake rolled her eyes and spoke with the tongue coming out of her mouth.

"She is right. This is a grand opportunity for us. In fact, it is the opportunity that if we properly grasp, we can easily become Monster King or even Emperor. That's why I called all of you here to formulate a proper plan where we obtain Blood Energy for the lifetime."
