But, even so, it isn't enough to make me give up. I will develop my village even if I have to lie to the entire world or my own village, or my parents.

I will ascend and become a Village Chief with a lie. I will protect my village with a lie. I will develop my village with a lie. But how long can a lie truly last?

People say, kingdom needs to be built on trust but I am building it on lies. If liar is whom I need to become, then I shall gladly lie the entire world.

I Lied To Become Village Chief

Gu Tan was in his office with Zhao Xin, Zhu Ping, Zhao Yin, and Ming Shen. And, there was another person present today. It was actually Yu Cao. She had also finished her job.

"Chief, Young Master Gu wants to meet you!"

A soldier opened the door and shouted while standing at the door. His words made Gu Tan quite surprised but he quickly nodded his head and said "Alright, send him in!"

After a few seconds, Gu Huang wearing his blue suit walks inside the mansion alone but there was a sparkling smile on his face.

"Congratulations Village Chief! My family has agreed to your demands. Now, I just have to see the condition of that man before I signal my family to send your demands."

This made Gu Tan narrow his eyes. He could see the fake smile on his face and immediately a thought rang in his mind.

'So, they have decided to do it huh. I guess we really have to prepare for the worst.'
