"Hey lovie," Sherry greeted Ammy as she stepped into the house. Ammy who was busy setting the table for dinner looked up to her and smiled warmly.
"Hey swee....is Marcus not coming for dinner?"Ammy asked with a frown.
"Well...it seems the guy isn't coming over today....why do you care anyways....have you started falling for him too.... can't forget how he had a crush on you back then," Sherry spoke.
"Just as you said girl....it was back then ....the guy is a good friend....you know how he has helped me," Ammy answered still preparing the table as she moved from the dining table to kitchen, grabbing some utensils.
"Hope so..." Sherry responded looking at her with sparkling eyes.
"Are you for real swee....you know I don't have time for men and definitely not Marcus,"Ammy responded with a livid face.
"Fineee....it's not like it's a crime that he loves you that much," Sherry answered as she received the plate of food, Ammy had served her.
"Hhhm,,,,,this meal is so delicious lovie....you really got magic and in those hands of yours,"Sherry commented as she chewed the food earn in a 'thank you' from Ammy.
"Anyways, I have something to tell you lovie... please promise you won't say no,"Sherry began as they ate their meal. Ammy narrowed her eyes at her before nodding. She knew that her sweet friend wouldn't have bad plans for her.
"Well I want you to come leave with me in my apartment in Port City,"she spoke happily.Ammy's shoulders dropped in disappointment as she dropped her fork on the plate.
"How can I do that Sherry? You know this place holds all the memories of my childhood and my family...so how can I just leave?"Ammy asked.
"Lovie, you aren't leaving this place forever...I just want is to be together and you are all alone here and I don't like it...and you will definitely love the life there I promise,"
"I know I will like it but this place...."
"I get it lovie but please come along....I also have other friends there and they are so good so please come with me....please,"Sherry begged her friend, and Ammy couldn't just reject her any further.
"Okay fine,"she finally agreed.
"I knew you wouldn't say no....thank you lovie...I love you so much,"Sherry spoke emotionally hugging her dear. The two ladies spent the weekend together.
"Marcus...I will be moving out to port city with Sherry and I might start something there,"Ammy informed him on Sunday night when Marcus came over. The guy had always been there for her and she couldn't leave with telling him.Marcus was silent for a while before he spoke.
"It's fine Ammy. And I think it's a good idea for you to go away from here, that way you will be able to make a step....and I got you this,"he said bringing out a small box from the gift bag he was carrying. She had noticed it when he came in and she even teased him that he can be a 'romantic boyfriend'.The present he got her made her jaws drop.It was a beautiful phone that she didn't expect to have soon.
"Atleast we can keep in touch anytime and let me know if you need anything,"he spoke seeing how surprised the girl was.Ammy stood from her sitting position and hugged him.
"Thank you so much Marcus...you have done alot for me and I didn't expect this...but..thank you so much,"she spoke still hugging him and her voice cracky. She never expected Marcus to be this supportive to her. They had been neighbors since childhood and they went to the same school although he was two years older than her.She also knew that he loved her though he had never confessed it to her.She also liked him alot but she wasn't sure if it was love...she also wished he could confess to her so that she could understand her own feelings but he never did.
"That was sweet Ammy,"Sherry teased her later when they got to bed.
"Yeah,"that was Ammy's unexpected answer. She would always argue and tell how she the two of them were just friends but her answer too her by surprise.Sherry turn and slept on her side while facing Ammy who slept staring at the ceiling.
"Ammy....do you love the guy?"she asked and Ammy sat up abruptly.
"I like him but I don't think I love him and I wish he confessed his feelings so I could also understand what I feel for him...but he has never done that,"she answered entwining her finger as she stared at them.
"As I guessed...you like him... anyways leta wait maybe he isn't bold enough to confess to you,"Sherry responded as stared st her confused friend. She knew her friend wasn't a lovey-dovey girl and she never had a boyfriend back then and when she got back she learnt that she never had a boyfriend even when they got separated which made her get worried for her friend but this confession made her smile inwardly.Atleast she liked a guy.
"It's fine...let's go to bed now...we have a long journey ahead of is tomorrow and I have to introduce you to my work club and friends,"she said and Ammy nodded at her.Sherry was happy that she would be leaving with her friend as she always dreamt of and Ammy was happy because she was going to leave with her friend and she would also work as a designer with her friend in their wok club which she would meet tomorrow.
