Darkness Forest

Approaching the forest the group started to feel warmer, everything was green.

Fuigui took his own bow "No matter what happens, remember to remain in formation."

It was the first time Wang Yu entered a forest, being a kid he couldn't leave the village so for him those giant trees and canopies were a new sight he had never seen before. He was mesmerized by it.

He suddenly felt a hand on his back

"Wang Yu, don't get distracted."

It was Qu Shi remainding him to stay alert, after all danger was everywhere it wasn't time for him to temple the beauty of things, he looked at Qu Shi and nodded gratefully before turning back and walking with the group.

The group walked in the forest carefully afraid of making any noise, Fuigui suddenly stopped and kneeled down looking at some footprint

"This is a fresh footprint of two bears according to the depths. The first bear is an adult, the other is small, it should be a mother while the other should be its cub. Let's head to the other side, confronting a mother with its child is not a good option."

The group then changed direction, on the way they made many detours, one time they saw the footprint of a pack of hyenas.

While walking the group were exploring the forest, each time they entered a new area Fuigui would tell them about it explaining which animals are within it.

Fuigui explanations were the same as drawing a map for them to understand which part of the forest to visit and which one to avoid.

According to Fuigui the periphery contains the least dangerous animals in the forest the deeper you go the stronger animals become.

On the way the group encountered a gazelle which was drinking from a lake, but unfortunately the instant they saw it, it ran away.

Suddenly Fuigui stopped and signaled to the group to look ahead, there were two tigers each one lying on a tree, they were asleep.

Fuigui stood there in deep thought, he didn't know if they should try hunting those tiger, after all if they missed their target they might be in great danger.

After a moment of thought he looked at Lu Min and Lu Fu, when they understood his gaze, he pointed at one tiger.

As for the others they didn't move for fear that they might awaken the tigers. Wang Yu was anxious, he had never seen a tiger he only heard about.

The archers took their bows and arrows pointing them at their targets, Lin Mu and Lu Fu were waiting for Fuigui's signal.

"Swoosh" the arrows were fired together with Fuigui's arrow hitting the tiger on its chest falling from the tree. As for the other tiger, it was only scratched on the back with Lin Mu's arrow, Lu Fu's shot didn't hit it.

The survivor tiger was both afraid and angry it nearly died. The tiger looked at the direction where the arrow has come from.

"Swoosh" Fuigui fired another arrow, unfortunately this time it dodged before leaping from the tree.

"Swoosh, swoosh" Fuigui continued to fire but because of the vegetation and how fast the tiger was he couldn't strike it.

"Lu Min, Lu Fu what are you doing, the tiger's approaching us" only then did they continue firing. They were tense, this was the first time they fired an arrow at a living thing.

As for the rest, each of them drew his weapon. Wang Yu couldn't control his body, he was shivering while holding his sword.

"Swoosh" the tiger was hit, it stopped moving. The group didn't know if the tiger hit was fatal or not. Fuigui signaled to Ah Shu and Ah Du to walk toward the tiger they couldn't leave this opportunity, Fuigui had his bow ready to draw any instant he felt the least movement.

Approaching, the group finally saw the tiger. The last arrow has hitten its leg deeply making it unable to move freely, the tiger was looking at them angrily it wanted to leap into them.

The instant the target was clear, Fuigui fired its head. "Great, let's get our trophy fast before other animals smell the scent of blood."

It was evening when the group managed to leave the forest, thet were in hurry since managed to hunt something and Fuigui has also told them all of what they should know, what they lack now is practice.

The group then left the forest before camping. Fuigui started to skin the first tiger they've killed carefully. According to him, a tiger's skin was valuable so he took his knife and started to show the right way to skin an animal while bringing an intact animal is better. Sometimes they won't be able to bring it so selling the skin will be better than nothing.

we need to hand those skins to the sect to get some sect coins in exchange" said Fuigui.

"I know that you don't know sect coins, they are given by the sect to those who accomplish some tasks the more you have the better, with those coins you can exchange for whatever you want"

This time it was Ah Shu who was preparing the meal with Fuigui only giving some instructions from time to time.

Wang Yu was sitting by himself, he was lonely and sad, he didn't like the feeling of being inferior. He knew he was weak but he never imagined he wouldn't be able to budge when he encountered an enemy, if he was by himself he would have died.

Qu Shi was heading toward Wang Yu to console him but Lin Mu held her back "You should let him resolve his own problems by himself, if not he won't be able to grow" Qu Shi stopped when she heard.

Unlike Wang Yu, Li Mu was easy going. He was with Ah Shu and Fuigui learning how to roast meat professionally like fuigui.

"Qu Shu, Wang Yu, Ah Du hurry up the meat is ready" yelled Li Mu

The group then started eating voraciously, even Wang Yu who had been sad a moment ago was trying to appear normal.

"Brother Xu, you told us about how useful the sect coins are, by the way can we use them to exchange some herbs" asked Qu Shi.

"Absolutely yes, the sect has a very big repository that contains everything you can imagine, even herbs and elixirs that can help one cultivate are there only their price is extravagant."

The trip was short nonetheless the group had learned many things and had managed to hunt a tiger, even though most of the work was done by Fuigui.

They were going to rest tonight before heading tomorrow toward the sect.
