Accustomed to training

After returning to the sect, Wang Yu and the company sold whatever they got from their trip with 6 coins and also bought some medicine for Ah Du.

Wang Yu continued his training regime, which has become more intense by the day, the herbs bought from the sect were extremely effective and helpful so he could afford to increase training without fearing injuries as long as he didn't go overboard.

"Good, your stance has become more solid and you don't do much of useless moves as before, but while your stance has become better and your defense more stable, you have to start training in attacks" Qu Shi commented Wang Yu's every move.

"Not this way, look at me" Qu Shi then moved her right leg forward before cutting horizontally with her sword, she then thrust it toward Wang Yu stopping five inches before his heart.

Wang Yu started to imitate Qu Shi's moves, he was patient doing one move multiple times until nearly mastering it before starting with another one.

At night, Wang Yu would continue his drawing which has become half complete, he estimated finishing it the next week.

Lu Fu was also training hard with Lu Min. It wasn't only Wang Yu and Lu Fu who were training; the others were also training intensively only Ah Du had to take a break since his left arm isn't healed yet. Everyone was working as hard as possible, even if the price of elixirs was extravagant there was still some hope.

As always, Wang Yu preferred to stay in his room, he didn't like interacting much with the others, so while the other group members would go to the restaurant he would go to his room.

"Ah, what a hard day they said that with time training will become a lot easier, I don't believe that" grumbled Wang Yu after entering his room, while it was true that his skills improved so did the training increase, even though he was complaining about it he knows that it's for his good so when he noticed how Qu Shi increased his training regime by the day, he continued training and didn't complain to her.

"At least I have some time to draw," said Wang Yu happily before going toward the painting of Qu Shi and Ah Shu.

After two hours, he stopped painting, sat down, and started training according to the manual. Suddenly he felt extreme pain so he stopped and then opened his eyes "so it's impossible to cultivate without talent or resources."

He then stood up and went toward his wooden sword and started training, at least he could feel the progress while training his martial arts unlike the cultivation.

After an hour of training, he went to the bathtub and poured some water and herbs before jumping inside it. He felt comfortable each time the bath and all the numbness he felt before was disappearing, this is why these herbs were expensive, having them helped him immeasurably and made his training more bearable, if he could buy some immortal medicines cultivating won't be hard anymore, this is why he had to become stronger and gain more sect coins.

Half an hour later Wang Yu went to his bed and started painting again, before falling asleep.

Early in the morning, Qu Shi knocked many times on the door of Wang Yu, before he opened the door, eyes half-closed.

"Wang Yu, you're a heavy sleeper?" Snorted Qu Shi who had grown accustomed to Wang Yu's heavy sleep, still she enjoyed lecturing him as an elder sister.

Wang Yu went back to his room to tidy himself. He left with Qu Shi to the canteen to eat breakfast.

"Wang Yu, you sleep really well." Joked Ah Du, Wang Yu would always be the last to come.

"Hhhh, don't care about him, it's good to sleep it's not like you would miss anything important." Said, Ah Shu.

"By the way Ah Shu, I want you to lend me the book you purchased, I would like to know more about the forest." Said Lu Min.

"No problem, I left it in my room, I will bring it to you after we leave the canteen."

"Brother Si Tu, what do you think about the tournament?" a young man who was sitting at the table next to them asked.

"The tournament of the outer sect's disciples happens every five years, and each time it happens many servants will have the opportunity to go to the outer sect. I've already registered but I don't know if I will be chosen, the competition is fierce." A middle aged man who was sitting in front of the youth responded.

Wang Yu's group members stopped talking and were listening to the conversation, it was the first time they heard about the tournament.

"Good morning brothers, sorry for interrupting you I'm Ah Shu."

"Brother Ah Shu I assume that you want to know about the tournament" asked Si Tu knowing that this brother who should be new, has heard them speaking.

Ah Shu nodded in response.

"Well, the sect organizes a tournament every five years, within which the outer sect disciples would fight against each other and show their potential to the sect's elders. If a disciple is chosen by an elder he will gain guidance which will ease his cultivation a lot, it's also the time for the sect to choose the new inner sect disciples." Si Tu was talking calmly and clearly which showed his knowledge about the sect affairs.

"Don't the disciples of the servant district have this kind of tournament where the winner gains the opportunity to go to the outer sect?" Ah Shu couldn't help but think about this possibility.

"Unfortunately, the disciples of the servant district aren't even considered as disciples by the sect. For the sect what's important is strength and if someone were to be sent to the servant district it means he doesn't have enough potential, so even if he could cultivate he won't reach a high level of strength." Responded Si Tu with a sad tone.

"Anyway, going to the sect's tournament is a great opportunity to rise. If one could become a servant of a genius then his future opportunities would be limitless." Said Si Tu who had passed the age of cultivation and could only hope to become tied to a cultivator.

The group members were silent, they were young and ambitious so they felt that it was beneath them to become a disciple's servant. Nonetheless, none of them could deny that they had considered it, they weren't stupid, and seeing all those senior brothers and sisters who were neither less talented nor less motivated than them still here in the sect's servant district showed them how hard is it to become a cultivator.

After thanking Si Tu for the information, the group left toward the training field where they continued their training, but this time their training was more intense, Wang Yu wanted to meet Lui Fu and Lui Xu, but still, he didn't want to meet them as a servant, that was humiliating and he won't accept it.

Life continued, and the group members continued training and learning about the sect. It was worth noting that the atmosphere within the servants' district has changed a lot, becoming more active. Many people wanted to enter the real sect, not stay in the desolate and chubby servants' district. Nevertheless, some ambitious and prideful people refused to go to the outer sect as simple servants, and some lacked motivation and were happy with their own life as it is.
