Qihou Empire

At the crack of dawn, Wang Yu woke up, feeling a little different from before, his body felt more flexible and relaxed, especially his skin which had been covered in scars before. His spirit had also improved. He felt as if the world had become clearer, and he could hear voices from farther away and whispers more clearly.

Excited by this improvement, Wang Yu decided to train with the Sword Divine Technique, something he had been struggling with. The problem was that he couldn't infuse enough spirit energy into his sword, This was mainly because his dantian didn't have enough Condensed Qi. Also, when he tried to put it into his sword, most of it just spread out and was wasted.

But now, with his spirit getting stronger, he felt that even with little condensed qi, he could make it enter his sword without wasting a lot.

So, he pulled out his sword and took a deep breath, enjoying the cool morning air filling his lungs. He closed his eyes and concentrated, bringing the condensed qi from his dantian. He was focused, directing the condensed qi to his sword. Soon, some qi reached his sword, causing it to hum with energy and glow with silver light, which matched Wang Yu's hair.

making him look more dashing.

Not wanting to destroy his room, Wang Yu carefully pulled the condensed qi back to his dantian. He did this two more times before feeling too tired to continue. It was very hard on his spirit.

If others from the sect were to know about this, they will be shocked. Usually, people who cultivate the Divine Sword Art only start fusing their swords with condensed qi, when they reached the peak of the second level of Qi condensation. Only then will they have enough condensed qi accumulated in their bodies, since most of the condensed qi, will be wasted.

Wang Yu then drank some spirit tea, which made him feel refreshed. An hour later, he stood up, going to his lecture for the day, which was about Anatomy, a subject that Wang Yu hadn't attended before. According to what he heard, it was taught by two lectures, one from the Alchemist Department responsible for teaching how organs work and how they can be influenced by some materials, and also the environment. He also taught them about the importance of some demon organs in alchemy, as for the other lecturer, his course was focused on dissecting the demons and extracting their important organs, he also taught them about their weak spots.

When Wang Yu came to the hall where the lecture will be held, some surprised gazes looked in his direction, Wang Yu's face returned to when he was still inside the village, young and unscarred, his complexion has also become more radiant and healthy.

After greeting some of the people he knew, Wang Yu sat down to start cultivating. The lecturer wasn't due for another half hour.

Meanwhile, in East Creek village, Zhang Wei was reading a book about the Imperial Family. Even though it was an old book, it was clean and undamaged. Zhang Wei's uncle had brought it when he returned to the village.

Zhang Long didn't have a son of his own, but he was proud of his nephew and each time he looked in his direction, he would smile feeling satisfaction.

After two incense sticks had burned, Zhang Wei closed his books and looked at his uncle, "Uncle, you can ask me questions."

His grandfather closed the book he was holding before asking "Little Wei, Who was the first Emperor?"

"The first emperor is Zhou Zhang, initially he was a villager who liked poetry, he was living a simple life when the Beasts Outbreak happened.

Wanting to protect his people, he led both his village and the other small villages to fight against the beast.

Despite the beasts' strong bodies and numbers, they always failed in front of Zhou Zhange's strategies.

As Zhou Zhang continued to win, the other villages and nearby cities followed him in his quest of defeating the beasts.

Years later, they succeeded in vanquishing the beasts and sent them to the Hell Forest, and from then, he created the biggest empire in all lands. Unfortunately, he was betrayed by two friends who later founded the Evergreen Kingdom and the Holy Kingdom.

"Now tell me about the current Qihou world," his uncle asked.

"The Qihou world is divided into the Qihou empire which takes the biggest lands and the most resources, it controls both the north and east.

As for the other powers they are the Evergreen in the west and the Holy Kingdom in the south.

The north's very cold compared to the other territories, but due to it having several mines, it's highly valued by the empire, it's also where they have exiled the beasts.

As for the east, it's the most flourishing land in the Qihou world, it's where the imperial city is situated, it contains a lot of rivers, farms, and riches, and it's also where our village is situated.

The empire is divided into five provinces that are divided into thirteen counties, the provinces are named Jinyu, Yuzhou, Lianjiang, Bingfeng, and Yexing. Each province has its own unique characteristics and resources that contribute to the overall strength of the Qihou Empire. Jinyu, Yuzhou, and Lianjiang are in the east; Bingfeng and Yexing are north.

As for the Holy Kingdom and the Evergreen Kingdom, instead of provinces, they use the word region, and each of them has three regions.

The Holy Kingdom's land is full of different kinds of huge trees, and its people are mostly carpenters, their products are highly sought by the nobles of both the empire and the Evergreen kingdom.

As for the Evergreen kingdom, it focuses on farming especially herbs, it has the best doctors in all the land."

The old man was proud, so he wanted to ask more questions when he suddenly started coughing. Zhang Wei rushed to his uncle's side. "It's not a big deal little Wei, it's just some coughs I'll get better when I sleep." Said the old man.

Seeing his uncle in this state, Zhang Wei couldn't help but say "This is all because of that pig's greed, if he sent his doctor here you wouldn't be in this state."

Hearing his nephew say this, Zhang Long felt fearful for him "You should never do that again, remember unless you become a high scholar recognized by the emperor you shouldn't badmouth nobles, they are short minded and they get angry at the smallest things. Promise me, you won't do that again."

Zhang Wei did not want to promise, but seeing his weak uncle's gaze, he knew that if doesn't promise then his uncle would become more worried than before.

"I promise," hearing his nephew's promise, Zhang Long was happy "Little Wei, go prepare the breakfast."

Today the lesson will be taught by Senior Wu Ti, a vice elder from the Hunter Department. Despite being very short, Senior Wu was a formidable figure, his one remaining eye was sharp and piercing.

Senior Wu was in his sixties, but because of his level of cultivation, he looked to be in his thirties. He had Integrated with the bloodline of the Snow Leopard, as a result, his left hand bore the faint markings of the Snow Leopard's paw.

Integrating with this bloodline gave him a great increase in agility, but it also come with a cost of some of his humanity. He was known for his apathy towards others and his tendency to approach every situation with a cold, rational mindset.

Before he come, a group of senior disciples that Wang Yu didn't recognize brought a bunch of wolves in cages.

"Today you will have a practical lesson, in the past lesson I taught you how to dissect beasts, now you will start practicing, each of you has to kill a wolf, skin it and dissect it in front of me. Those wolves aren't even demons, so if you can't even do that then you aren't fit to stay in this sect."

Hearing this, some of the disciples shivered, others were excited and some remained indifferent. Among them was Wang Yu who had killed and skinned beasts many times before, but he wasn't great at dissecting.

There was also, that talented youth Min Du also that valiant girl with long legs who always kept a cold look on her beautiful face. There was also a guy who had a red snake tattoo on his face, who looked excited.

"Now, each of you should go to a cage kill the beast inside, and put it on a table before starting the work. In front of each table there's a set of knives, feel free to use them." Said Senior Wu Ti.
