Chapter Thirteen

As Aaron proceeded down the long alleyway, he was sure to see the end shortly, and just as he had expected, he was right. His trip was starting to end. He knew he wouldn't be able to walk anymore, without coming to a dead end. He'd have to turn around and go back. He knew deep in the bottom of his core that all he wanted to do, was return to Nation Valley and reunite with his mother, but there was still one very big problem, stopping him.

His new human body. With his powers gone, he'd never be granted access to pass through the portal. Without that special part of him that granted warm and cold ones their powers gone, humans aren't allowed to set through the portal. That once factor he'd experienced when the breathable air had changed. His lungs felt like they were on fire. Anything precaution used to keep mortals from entering.

If only Zane and the others could see him now? He'd be killed immediately. On accident of course? That's what Zane would say, while he stood over his dead body. Aaron knew it to be true. There was a fight he knew he couldn't win. Not a single chance.

Once he made it to the very end of the alleyway, staring at nothing but a disgusting looking wall in front of him, a rather disturbing scent flew past him from the air. It belonged to the same dirty non-useable toilet he'd seen with Edward a few days ago. How disgusting even now...it still grossed him out. Aaron through to himself as he paused for a second. Standing still in the middle of the alleway, the darkness, and shadows coming over him, from the tall walls hiding the sun. As he looked around, defeated, and a little anger, for there didn't seem to be any sign of that boy. The blind one, he'd gone? The one who might've had something to tell him regarding his missing powers, the one who just loved to see him annoyed. What a shame...

Aaron cursed under his breath as he was forced to take in the empty sights of nothing. Nothing besides trash, although. Before he was able to turn himself around, from the wall in front of him, his eyes softened at the sight of the only way he had left to go, and knew. Knew he was lost. How he'd managed to get lost in an alleyway, he'd been in not to long ago, he wasn't sure. Before with Edward, things seemed so much easier. Now, it was as if the world was trying to throw so much bad luck upon him, his lost powers seemed only half of it. As if he even deserved any of what he was getting.

As he made himself comfortable in the middle of the dusty, musty, payment, with his legs stretched out in front of him, and his back leaned out as far as it could go, he let out a sigh, as he took in the only chance he'd have to relax since the moment he arrived to Earth. Not a wink of sleep, so the exhaustion was nothing compared to the exhaustion his muscles were bringing off.

Plus he now had the chance for some reflection time. The time to finally reflect on everything that has happened to him, in the last year, was now the time.

The first one on the list of bad, was getting into a worthless fight with Zane, which resulted in the man he loved, to be presumed banished to Earth. Which Aaron had to learn, there was a bigger truth to everything. That meaning, that Alec wasn't even sent to Earth. Where he was truly sent, he had no idea.

The second one on the list of bad, that truly deserved a spot as number one, but was clearly ranked second, was his bastard father. Abandoned by his loser father, and left alone with so much hurt and heartbreak, he was surprised he hadn't been able to tap into his full power, and murder Zane during the battle. A part of him certainly wished he had. Another part of him sometimes wondered what things could've been like, had Lucifer Payne not stepped in, and stopped him? That bastard was trying to help him, prevent him from being sent to Mars, but then why was Aaron feeling so much tension and hatred towards him? Why was the hatred in his heart, only growing the more he thought about it?

Gritting his teeth through all the painful moments in his life was the only thing that made Aaron feel better, he wasn't sure exactly why? In the end, he knew his teeth shouldn't didn't appericate it, plus the extra damage to his physical body, really wasn't necessary. Once he was finished reflecting, he ended his pain, with a tight clench of his fists. How he wished to only be able to see his mothers face in person, he couldn't take the chance that she was crying. Having been left alone back home.....that image couldn't help but kill him instantly. The image was the same, as the day his dad left her. How the promise he'd made her before leaving, still weighted firmly over his head. Aaron knew he had to keep it. At any cost...he was going to return to his mothers side.

If it was the last thing he did.....

''What're you homeless or something? God.....that smell is awful? Is that you? I can smell you from all the way over here, and I'm a few feet away! Man....'' Snapped a firm yet deep voice. Aaron could care less who the words belonged to. With a reasonable plan to simply ignore them, that's exactly what he did. Although with the words repeating over and over in the back of his mind, something seemed odd. Something around him smelled like it was boiling. On fire perhaps? As he rose his nose into the air, his scenes were right. Something was burning...

''You smell that don't you? The burning? Yeah I do to-''

''Dammit! What's your fucking problem! Leave me alone!'' Aaron shouted as he completely interrupted the man before he could continue. With his bright icy blue eyes still pinned to the specific spot on the payment, Aaron was focused not to pay attention.

''Well, that was very rude! You didn't even let me finish my sentence....Guess we can't be friends.....funny? You look like a very friendly man.'' The voice hissed, more sarcastic then genuine.

''Is that supposed to be sarcastic? Cause its not funny. Don't you have anything better to do than bother me?'' Aaron hissed back.

''Obviously not, otherwise why would I be here? You said it yourself, I have nothing better to do.''

''Terrible attitude, probably a terrible life to match, and a very ugly personality....man, sucks to be you.'' Aaron couldn't help but to growl as his words came out of his mouth. This dude, was really trying to get under his skin.

''You seem bored yourself? How about agreeing to help me with something? I'll make it worth your while?''

''Why on earth would I want to do that?!'' Hissed Aaron. ''I don't even know you. What happened to stranger danger?''

''Yeah...your probably right...just thought maybe with some help, I'd be able to take care of something....And you just seem to look like someone who enjoys getting in trouble..''

''Crime I assume? I'm not surprised, your voice tells me everything I need to know about you, and I'd guess since your wearing all dark shades, you think of yourself as a baddie? Right?'' Aaron hissed angrily, more annoyed though.

''My voice? Well, maybe it would help if you stopped being so rude, and actually looked over here. Who knows? I might surprise you.'' As annoyed as Aaron was with the annoying, but mysterious stranger, he couldn't help it, not to be interested. The man was surely interating, even if he wished he'd go away. He rose from his spot on the payment as slowly as he could, while being dramatic, and once he finally got to his feet, he had to pause, before he was able to straighten his back, for the burning temperatures of a fireball shot straight towards him, Missing him by a few inches, he rose to full position, with fiery eyes. The black cloak he wore, blew firmly against the might caused by the wind, but as powerless as he was, Aaron could do nothing. Nothing against a warm one, a strong one at that.

''What the hell?'' He shouted.

''Bet you wished you looked at me earlier? Maybe before you decided it was okay to judge....'' As Aaron captured the man's appearance in his mind, he had to admit he was pretty surprised. The man was indeed a bit older, but not by to much. He had short thick black hair, with a pair of red eyes to match. He wore all black, and had what seemed to be a little bit of facial hair. Mainly under his chin. His thick black sideburns, were the second thing Aaron chose to pay attention to. Surprised, the man was pretty handsome.

''How are you?! How'd you get here from Nation Valley?!''

''Your from Nation Valley?! Odd, I don't sense any magical power coming from you? Your sure your from Nation Valley?! You don't seem like it!'' The man replied, surprised.

''You were banished here, weren't you? I can tell by your violent nature to try and blow people up! The king banished you, didn't you?'' Aaron's eyes widened at the relation he came up with, surprised, to meet another one of his kind?! On Earth of all places? Seeming as though he and Edward were the only ones sent instead of banished? Surely Mark should've known about this odd man? Since he was sure all the banished ones came to him? As the blind boy had said.

''Here on Earth we don't go by warm or cold ones anymore! We call ourselves the banished ones.....Warm or cold just seemed so worthless now? Since we're not constantly pinned against one another, here, we're all equal. Were you banished as well?''

''There's more of you here? Isn't there?!'' Aaron snapped.

''Of crouse there is, I just said that. What did you think when all the crime back home suddenly stopped? Surely you didn't think the king made us live willingly? No, he sent us here. All the rouge and worthless people he failed to deal with! Decided to leave us here, rather not give second chances.''

''Although? Since being here, we've only given him nemours numbers to have killed us, instead of banished us. He really doesn't have any humanity for the Earth's humans....We've been causing crime all over France. It's really quiet fun! I must be honest with you, banished one, Earth is much more interesting than back home.''

''I'm not a banished one! I was willingly sent here by King Clark, in order to find someone! Someone who was wrongly sent here, on behalf of me! My name is Aaron Channing, my powers have disappeared, and I have no idea why! Thus, since I am unable to breathe the air back home, I cannot leave till they return.'' Aaron whispered. ''If i'd known you were all here, I'd have done something to help you come back! I'm sorry I missed my chance to help you!'' Aaron shouted. The man smirked under his breath, as he began simply laughing. Oddly, Aaron didn't share his laughter.

''Doesn't matter! Either way even if we had a choice to go back, why would we? We're banished ones, being here is what makes us banished! As the leader, I have no desire to move my people. King Clark and Queen Jewel wiped our memories, and left us here! All alone! Erased the only memories I had of my family! Lucky enough, there was someone who could help. I may not have gotten everything back, but I have enough. My powers, and my hatred towards Nation Valley. I don't need anymore.''

''Your an idiot! You and your people! Wouldn't you want a second chance? By living peacefully here, you could've proven that you were ready to be taken back! Wouldn't you have wanted to see your family again?!''

''Your a fool....such a fool....the way you think just isn't realistic,....Since I've been here, I've been forced to do nothing but hate. Hate and hate, and hate. I must tell you, its not as bad as it seems. I've never been more powerful. Neither of us have.'' The man came a little closer from where he was standing, his razor sharp crimson eyes, filling with fury, as he rose one of his clenched fists into the air. Before Aaron could blink, the man's fist was covered with black flames. The motion of the fire was lighting fast. Aaron had to keep himself from dropping his jaw at the powerful sight.

Never, had a warm one ever had so much hatred and angered inside them, to cause their flames to go from orange to black. It was something impossible. Aaron knew from the black flames he was in so much trouble. Compared to the state he was in, before losing his powers, surely couldn't compare to this man's powers. And now, he was powerless.

''What's the matter? You seemed worried?''

''Your dangerous! Don't you understand that! Your flames are powered by your emotions! All that anger and hatred towards Nation Valley, and to the king, is causing your flames to become unstable! You can't be allowed to keep them!''

''If someone wanted to stop me, they'd have done so already? I've been looking for a well matched fighter, but then again? No one can even think to challenge me! My followers have been taught that lesson, the fear they have towards me, is so tasty, my flames have never been darker...''

''You bastard! Your going to get everyone killed!''

''That's the whole point!''

The man charged full force towards Aaron. Before Aaron could think to even move, let alone blink, he was suddenly pushed away. With his back hitting the wall behind him, he gasped, a small bit of blood coming up from inside him, as the full force of the impact, crushed upon his mortal bones. As he felt the payment underneath him, a sharp pain, followed by what seemed to be a flash of something small and red, pinched against his finger. Only for a second, could he feel his full energy returning. Before he could get his eyes to follow the sudden dark gust of wind that suddenly appeared next to him. He rose from the payment, starting with removing the ripped cloak from his body, where he tossed it to the ground, he could see the frightened eyes of the man, as he cowered in front of him.

Aaron felt the cool, soothing wind, as it brushed against his bare chest. Lifting his arms, so they were positioned in front of him, with a sudden gust of red light as it wrapped up the wind behind him, a cloud of red lighting surrounded him...Grunting and hissing loudly, as his new temporary power granted him new ways to look at life, he was ready to take on the battle.

From a distance, the spark, from Spark Nation, with her bleach blonde hair, and cold blue eyes, smiled, as the darkness of the cloak she carried in her arms, pressed against her body, from the roaring wind that came towards her. She watched from a distance, as her powers were once again, used for greater destinies.

A helpful sidekick perhaps?

The spark was still unsure....
