Chapter 21: Med Bay

The medical wing looked much the same as the rest of the ship, until he saw Dr. Hennessey's clinic. Organized chaos was the only way to describe it. The room was roughly the same size as the mess hall, but the amount of cabinets, trays and moveable tables made it seem smaller.

The cabinets were obviously old, and just as obviously were recent additions to the ship since their carved oak doors did not match the rest of the decor. A closer look at them revealed that they were finely crafted reproductions of Greek carvings and reliefs, including the entire Oath of Hippocrates in Greek with the man's portrait in the upper left corner. The countertops were a dark grey marble with black and amber veining. Brass fixtures decorated the cabinet and drawer handles as well as the spigots for the sinks.
