Chapter 22: Revelations

They descended back into the hold of the ship. None of them said a word until everyone was comfortable. Geri planted both feet with his arms crossed over his chest, and a dour expression on his face. Nigel looked worried but determined where stood next to a metal support pillar. Laurence couldn't seem to decide if he wanted to lean, shift from foot to foot, arms crossed or not, and none of them seemed to want to be the first to speak. Finally, Nigel took the lead.

"We must resume our mission," Nigel began with a sharp look at Geri, "per our Captain's orders." He pointed at Geri with a slender finger. "And I dare you, sir, to suggest that she was addle-minded from pain."
