"Mor, come on we are going to be late for work." Leo called from the hallway. He was right, we are going to be late. but I was unable to find the other shoes that I was going to wear today.
I made sure to put everything out before going to have breakfast so that I could get ready easily, but then when I came here after breakfast one of my shoes was missing.
I suspect it might be the cause of a certain hazy form that has been sneakily watching me, frantically trying to find the shoe, from behind a painting.
I have had enough of this. "Aro, I can see you in the painting. Where did you hide my shoe?"
He popped out of the wall, looking at me indignantly, "Do you think someone with a high caliber like me has nothing else to do than hide your shoe." He asked, appearing fully inside the room.
"Yes." I snapped my patience running out. "Aro, I don't want to late on my first day at work."
"I thought you were going on a date today." he said, making me realize that he was doing this to make me admit that I don't have a date today. Does he think it would be so easy to make me admit it?
"Fine. Keep it, I have hundreds of shoes I can wear. I went inside the walk-in closet and went to my shoe section only to find that all the shoes were missing their pair. How was he able to steal so many of them? And where did he keep them all?
His evil laughter floated inside, making me scream in anger. "Tell me where my shoes are, or I will end you." I warned him.
"You can certainly try." he floated towards of me staring me in the eyes, challenging me to do anything to him. "Or you could just admit that you don't have a date." he said stopping inches away from me.
"She has a date." fortunately Leo interrupted or I would have done something I would not have regretted in the least.
"Tonight actually." Leo said, making Aro scoff. Even though I didn't tell him about it. He must have figured it out, and being the good brother and Aro hater he is, he came to my rescue. Leo winked at me, making me smile in gratitude.
We are so confidently lying to him as he will never be able to find out the truth about my date, because he is bound to this house, meaning he can't get out of the house. That is the reason why I mainly tolerate him and let his antics slide. It must be hard for him to always stay in the house.
I sometimes find him staring out of the window for hours, just looking at the gardens and the lake, all the things which were his he isn't even able to enjoy them. It makes me sad for him. I think all these pranks he does keep him entertained.
"Mor your shoe is hanging on the ceiling." Leo said, sure enough, it was floating near the ceiling. Having a ghost in your house is bad but having a ghost who can cast spells is worse. As we were watching the shoe dropped on top of Leo's head, making me giggle. Leo went cursing, after a chortling Aro. He will never be able to catch him.
"You better put all my shoes back before I come back." I shouted to the empty house; I know he is somewhere here listening. He is always listening. Sometimes he would pop up in mid-conversation to ask questions if the gossip is too juicy for him to ignore. I should get him a pet or something to keep him occupied while we both are away. So that he won't be lonely.
We were outside the office. "You go inside first. I don't want to be seen with you." I said to Leo. A witch coming inside the building with a demon prince it will raise more questions than I can answer. I will become the gossip of the office. I would rather keep a low profile.
It was beautiful, the office, it was inside an ancient building that had been turned into an office. With the arches, and the pretty designs that decorated the walls. The building is larger and grander than it appears from the outside.
It was just like the house that I live in. Expect it has more floors and it was filled with all kinds of supernatural species. It was busier than I had expected. Maybe it was because today is Monday.
A tall girl with black hair appeared in front of me. She wearing a short tight black dress that hugged her figure some guy passing us was staring at her ass. She looked up and down at me, I glanced at myself making sure I didn't have anything on my clothes, I was wearing jeans and a pink T-shirt with a black jacket on top. Then coming to some conclusion that I can't comprehend she rolled her eyes and said "You must be new." Maybe she guessed it by the way I was staring like a fool at everything. Does she have to analyze me that hard?
"Go into that office." she said pointing at a room, "thank you." I said and went inside. It was like a big hall filled with people, some of them sitting while others were standing. All looking at each other, some of them were hopeful while others looked like they barely cared.
All of them must be new like me. What are we all doing here? I went and sat on a chair, someone called the name "Yama Maywaters" An elf girl rose from her seat and went into a small room. It may be like sorting into groups.
All the people in the room cleared out leaving me in the last. "Morana" the same voice called. I went into the room. There was a woman who was looking at some papers. She told me to go to the third floor and ask for a woman named Liza, and send me on my way.
