Chapter 78

Victarion Greyjoy - Lord Captain of the Iron Fleet

I grin widely at the sight of all the ships we capture from the surprise attack at Arbor. Another hundred ships were ready to be used for our conquest of the Seven Kingdoms.

"My lord, the others have arrived."

I snap from my thoughts and see the servant leading all the other lords for this conquest. I sit on the chair, look at the other lord, and then say.

"Let's start this war council by saying, we have massive advantages. With the Redwyne fleet under our command, the Iron Throne only has a few more fleets on its command. The only not worthy one is the Royal Fleet."

"What about the Lannister Fleet?" Lord Orkwood as me while pointing at Lannisport.

"That is true if not for Euron who led at the sacking of the Lannisport. Here, read it."

I toss a parchment and see them reading the content of the letter. Euron Greyjoy manages to pillage and then burn Lannisport to the ground. Not only that, but he also managed to steal some of the bigger Warships from the Lannister Fleet before burning them also.

"The only one left is Seagard, and once we take it, we will control the Western Sea of the Seven Kingdoms."

"That is good. Who will be the one attacking Seagard?"

"Rodrik Greyjoy will be the one attacking Seagard and followed by Euron who will soon follow him."

"Then what should we do? The north is already secured and that only leaves us the south."

"Yes. Lord Orkwood"

"My lord!"

"I need you to attack Oldtown and secure our base from the Tyrell, especially when Paxter manages to escape our siege. Don't underestimate him, he was a bane to our fleet in the past and he will make our conquest as hard as possible."

"Yes, my lord!"

"Take thirty warships with you and twenty-five longboats with you. Your main mission is not to occupy but to harass Oldtown. Raid every village, town and ship you find. Take as many words as you can and transport them here. We will use them to repair our ship and make a new one."

"Yes!"

I nod my head and see him walk away from the tower. I then look at the rest of the lord still sitting on the chair and say.

"As for the rest of you, you will come with me. We will sail to Sunspear. We will take that city and make it our new base. We will hold the Royal Fleet and anyone who tries to help."

"You are worried about the Lunarian's Fleet."

I look at the young Lord of Drumm and nod my head.

"They are a tough bastard. You are still young and never fight them but they are one of the hardest obstacles we face when we raid around the Narrow Sea."

I still remember how they somehow out sail my ship even when my ship is the fastest ship in the world. They are relentless and brutal when fighting against us.

"We cannot let them meddle in this war. Not without losing a lot of ships in the process."

Jon Arryn - Lord of Eyrie and Hand of the Kings

Why? Why can't something good happen once in a while? In the past two years, only something bad has happened! Our debt started to slowly pile up with Robert throwing money left and right like it was shit.

Now those bastards from the Iron Islands decide to rebel.

"Stannis, how is the fleet?"

"Need more time. Two more weeks and we can finally set sail."

"Can you speed things up?"

"And risk being underprepared? No. I can't do that. With the Redwyne Fleet getting stolen by the Ironborn, I cannot allow our fleet to be caught underprepared."

"But if you do not hurry up they will occupy more land!"

"No. You should know that Ironborn is not known for its land army. They are sea reavers but not a knight. They will only occupy the coastal cities and villages. Not only that they did not have the number. We did not need speed, we need to preserve and not do something stupid."

I release a sigh and nod my head. Stannis is correct. We did not need speed, unlike the Ironborn. We need to play smart and know when to attack. I look at the map and say.

"By the look of it, they will start from the north. They just raided and pillaged the city of Lannisport two days ago. I think they will hold the Arbor and make them their base to welcome us. The only obstacle they have is the Seagard for they are the only city with a fleet that can give them trouble. Hmmm, what about the north?"

"No. They did not have power in the sea. They have fishing and merchant ships but they did not have Warships because the previous Stark made a law that forbade any Warships in the northern sea."

"Yes. That stupid law."

I don't know why Ned never abolished the law as soon as he took over.

"Our only hope is Lord Mallister can hold them for a month or two months."

"That would be great, yes."

Just as I was about to say something, Grand Maester Pycelle walked through the door and said.

"My lord! My lord! Bad news! The Ironborn is sailing to the East!"

Doran Martell - Prince of Dorne and Lord of Sunspear

I read the letter coming from Lord Dayne and frowned a little. My wife, who is standing behind me, says.

"It looks like they finally come. The spy from Lunaria is really good at their job, huh? They know before the other."

"That they are. We are lucky they are our allies instead of an enemy. With their spy going around, I will be as paranoid as the Mad King."

"So, what should we do?"

"I already sent Oberyn. He will be the captain in the fight against the Ironborn. Lunaria also sent their ships to help us. They should arrive in a few days. Viserys and Bakir say that without combination force, we can win against the Ironborn but they are afraid that we cannot completely defeat them."

"Why?"

"Because Ironborn is a crafty bastard. There are reasons why they can raid around the world for so long."

I get up from the chair and look out the window to see a busy port in the distance. We have been hiding our true strength for so long, and now it is time to show the world that Dorne is not weak from the war.

Let them come, and we will show them that a snake is a creature that attacks when its prey least expects it. We will let them feel the wrath of our people.
