Chapter 79

I look at the endless ocean in front of me. Currently, the Lunarian fleet is sailing to Sunspear city to give them aid against the Ironborn who try to attack them. I look at the newly appointed Navy Admiral, Patrick, and say.

"Patrick, how many ships do you think we will face?"

"That depends, your highness."

Patrick took a map from his pocket and put it on the table next to him.

"There are two plans I can think of that the Ironborn will use in this war. The first one is that they will go all out and sail south. That means we will fight against all the ships that have and from the spy we have in Westeros, they have more than two hundred warships."

"That doesn't mean anything, right? A number of ships did not define their strength."

"Yes. A high number of ships need a high number of crews but this is Ironborn. As much as I hate to admit it, they are a fearless bunch. They will use that ship as a suicide attacker just to take out a few more ships."

"They will crash their ship into ours."

"That is correct. Or they can gather oil inside their ship and then lid it up. They use this tactic to let their main ship run away from ours. It was a great tactic to restrict our view and to destroy our supply ship."

"Did they not care about their fellow Ironborn?"

"No. To them, dying in battle to let your fellow Ironborn get the glory is an honorable act. With this thinking in mind, they are one hell of an enemy to beat."

"That sounds like a headache."

"Yes. There is a reason why Ironborn still raiding to this day. They are masters of the sea."

I nod my head and say.

"So, what is the next plan?"

"Ah, yes. The next plan should be spreading their ship around Westeros. By the look of it, they will attack Seagard next. They have already raided the Arbor and the Lannisport that only leave them the Seagard as their only obstacle to conqueror the western part of Westeros."

"That means we only fight a portion of their force and have an easier fight."

"I would not say we will have an easier fight. Always remember your highness to never underestimate Ironborn. They always have an ace in the hole and we need to stay cautious."

"I see."

"Anyway, it is true that the second outcome is what we need right now and I think they will make the second plan as they need to secure their base first before doing an all-out-attack."

"Let's hope it is as you said because an all-out-attack on Sunspear sounds bad to me and I have a feeling Sunspear will not survive the raid."

"Shield! Shield! Come on!"

I shout as I can see a rain of arrows fall to the wall where we stand. I hide behind a shield and then say.

"Archer! Take out those bastards!"

After shouting, I quickly ran down the stairs and mounted my horse. I can already see the Ironborn getting close with their rams toward the gate. Since when do they have a ram?! Tch. It looks like they want to occupy Sunspear.

I can hear the gate get pounded by the ram and see the last gate to the palace get bent and then destroyed a few minutes later.

"Charges!"

I order my men to charge and hit them with our might. I swing my spear and kill anyone who stands in front of me. I continue to lead my men and push the enemy to the first gate, where I can see a new wave of Ironborn coming at us.

"Dammit! How do they have this many men?! God! Retreat! Go! Go! Go!"

When I arrive at the backline once more, I run to the wall and take the Spyglass from my squire and look at the sea. But unfortunately, there are still a lot of them. Even with Oberyn fighting some of them at sea, many of them still come to Sunspear.

The Ironborn really use all of their soldiers in this fight, huh? Or are they the slave they get from the raiding? I hear they are riding the slave trader in the three golden Slaver city. I give the Spyglass to my squire once more when I see the Ironborn charging at us once again.

I quickly get down the wall and prepare to charge once again. However, I could hear a warhorn in the distance before the Ironborn could get past the last gate. It was not Ironborn's warhorn. This is deeper and louder. It was different from the one Ironborn used.

"Lunaria! Lunaria is here!"

My quire shouts from the wall, and I can see he is smiling in relief. I can feel my grin get bigger before I look at my men.

"About damn time!"

When another wave of Ironborn managed to get into the last gate, I ordered another charge, but this time, we did not stop at the first gate; we continued to charge to the city where we killed as many Ironborn who looted the house in Sunspear.

We continue to ride until we arrive in front of the beach, where I can see Lunaria's soldiers butchering the Ironborn who try to run away. In the distance, I can see two ships floating in the air and falling to the other ship next to it.

It was a sight to behold for me, but I know it was a sight straight from a nightmare for the Ironborn. The fight did not last long. Only thirty more minutes before I could see the last Ironborn's ship retreating into the distance.

"We won! We won!"

The first battle against Ironborn is over, and we are the winner. Now, the only thing we need to do is to make sure they will not dare to attack for the second time.

After waiting for a few minutes, I can see Viserys walk toward me with a group of men around him.

"Viserys! Thank you for coming and helping us."

"Don't mention it. I even brought you a gift."

"Oh?"

Viserys nods his head and looks at his guard, who is carrying a tied-up man on his shoulder. That man is Victarion Greyjoy.

"Well, well. What do we have here?"
