Chapter 125

|3rd POV|

Lord Randyll Tarly looks to the south when he hears the sound of explosions happening behind him. He looks at Stannis and then looks at the force, flanking them for a few seconds before deciding that moving forward is not the best choice.

"Retreat! Retreat! We need to regroup! Retreat!"

He shouts at his men, who take out a war horn and then blow it.

After hearing it, his army starts to turn back, running back to Storm's End.

Seeing the enemy retreating, Stannis mounts his horse, looks at the cavalry next to him, and says.

"Charges!"

With a loud war cry, seven hundred cavalry charges down the hill with their lances in hand. Stannis and his men punch through the retreating enemies, and when they start regrouping to hold Stannis and his army, the Lord of Dragonstone orders his men to retreat.

Seeing the cavalry retreating, the gunner marched behind the cavalry squad down and fired their weapon. The hasty build formation broke at the sight of two hundred bullets. The knight and the lord who ordered the formation die from a bullet to their head.

When Stannis sees the formation is gone, he and his cavalry turn around and continue to hunt down their enemies who try to retreat.

Lord Randyll decides to ignore the foot soldier as he and his personal army gallop through the field. He knows that once Storm's End falls, they will lose. They can do if he can reach Storm's End and wait for the night to settle.

In his mind, Stannis and Viserys will not attack at night, and he and his army will have a chance to prepare for the next battle and send a letter to ask for reinforcement from the Reach. He thinks the wall will hold because Stannis and Viserys want to preserve the wall.

Sadly, he is wrong.

"Destroy the wall! We can build back the wall! Destroy them so we can pass through!"

Viserys did not care for property damage as he could rebuild them. What is inside his mind is how to end the fight as fast as possible. With Storm's End falling, he and his men can move to King's Landing and kill the one causing this mess.

"The wall has fallen! The wall has fallen!"

Viserys look at the wall and see that the wall has crumbled and fallen to the ground. He nods his head and quickly flies to the sky. With a wave of his hand, the rubble flies to the cliff and falls to the ocean.

He can see some of the walls are too high for his men to jump over. Viserys took a deep breath, and suddenly a fireball shot out of his hand. A second later, the fireball explodes and destroys the rest of the wall, leaving nothing to stop his men.

Loras Tyrell looks at Viserys, floating in the sky, before suddenly shouting.

"Shoot him! Shoot the Witch King!"

Twenty archers take their bows and aim at Viserys. Twenty arrows fly toward him, but before the arrows can even hit him, they stop mid-air. Viserys waves his hand, and suddenly the arrows change direction. The arrows fly twice as fast as before and hit the archers right in the head.

After killing the archer, Viserys takes the horn on his belt and blows it. The sound of a war horn can be heard through the battlefield, signaling his command.

Charges.

At his command, the foot soldier is the first to march forward. They are marching as one with their shield above and in front of them.

Loras look at the incoming army with a frown. He looks at one of the lords standing next to him and says.

"I will leave this position to you! Keep firing arrows at them! The rest of you! We will greet them behind the wall!"

One of the lords from the Reach nods his head and quickly takes over the archers on the wall. He looks at the incoming army and Viserys, still floating in the air.

"You! You! You! Kill the Witch King! Kill that abomination!"

"Yes, my lord!"

He points at seven people and gives his order.

"The rest of you! Prepare to fire your arrow! We will hit that incoming army!"

While he is giving his order and encouraging his men, the seven archers fire their arrows at Viserys. Seeing the incoming arrows, Viserys gets an idea. He stops the arrows and changes their direction. However, unlike before, he is the one controlling it.

The seven arrows fly at high speed toward the commander of the archers' group. The arrow easily pierces through his neck and kills him instantly. However, the arrows did not stop there. It keeps flying around the walls, terrorizing the people standing on it.

Some people decide to fire their arrows at Viserys, but it only gives him another ammo to use.

While Viserys is busy harassing the archers on the wall, one of his generals manages to command the army to reach the wall of Storm's End. As they get inside the gap between the wall, they are greeted by Storm's End soldiers being commanded by Loras.

"Spear! In front! Archer! Fire at will!"

The archers stand in front of him, raise their bows and aim high. However, like before, Viserys sees their arrows and decides to interfere. He stops the arrows mid-air and returns them to the archers who fire them.

Seeing that the arrows will not work, Loras decides melee is the best option. He looks at his archers and shouts.

"Stop firing! It only gives him more power! Take your sword out! We will fight in a melee!"

He and his soldier can hear the sound of a crash. Loras looks at the wall and sees Viserys' army has reached the wall and is now pushing his army back.

"Cavalry! Get ready! We will crush them! We will go from the right!"

Loras for a few minutes before he ordered his men to charge. With the sun setting in the distance, shining them from the west, they look like a hero charging into battle. Sadly for them, they are not the protagonist of the story.

The Black Dog, who comes with the infantry, sees the incoming cavalry and creates earth spikes. A lot of horses fall, throwing their rider away from their back. Among them is Loras. He gets thrown forward and lands next to a man.

Loras shakes his head and quickly gets up from the ground. He quickly takes out his sword when he sees who is the one standing near him.

"You must be Loras Tyrell, huh?"

"Who are you?!"

The man gives him a smirk and says.

"The name is Yerus Vilray! The General of the Infantry! And I will be the one taking your head!"

"Come! I, Loras Tyrell, accept your challenge!"
