When he got to his house he went straight to his tall mirror, although it was cracked it still could be used. Draco stripped down to his underwear and took the clothes from today and put them in a trash bag. He then put on a pair of pants that were semi clean and a hoodie. As he was leaving his house, he grabbed the last remaining clean towel and headed for the closest place with clean water.
"honey you there?" his mother called him before he could get out the door. "Yeah mom?" "We're having dinner with Aurora in 4 hours, don't be late. Okay?" Draco responded by telling her he would be there. He ran out of the door, slamming it behind him. He looped around to the local trash dump before dropping the bag with his clothes into the farthest bin away from the entrance.
He then made his way to clean water. On his way to cleaning himself up, he decided to get to a secure place to check what his window wanted to show him after it killed that guy. Draco decided that the best place to hide was to go somewhere crowded. Seeing as certain titles are able to pinpoint someone by scent alone, it was better to make it harder for certain titles to find him if they were ever looking. He sat on a park bench and mentally brought up his last notification window.
-Notice-
Absorbed
Human(x1)
-NOTICE-
you have absorbed the title holder.
Abilities and Inventory have appeared on
Your window screen.
After reading the message he opened his window and sure enough, there were two new options for him to click on. He decided to start with the Abilities option as anything to do with the inventory would be able to be seen by other people. If his hunch was correct and it was indeed like storage rings. As Draco clicked into abilities, his vision was momentarily covered in windows popping up, "I wish the screens wouldn't just pop up in front of my vision." As soon as he said that, the windows crowding his vision went almost 100% translucent.
NEW TITLE- eagle eye was absorbed.
New title added, please rename this title.
Draco thought for a moment and decided to name it far sight. He figured he might as well keep it simple and easy to remember.
title renamed (far sight)(F)
Would you like to set this as your active title?
(yes) (no)
Draco thought this was the best thing to do as he was currently title less and also collarless. Which was not good for his health. Draco decided to wait a couple days as if he set it right now he would have to report it to the Strikers association and it might seem suspicious if two title holders came in with the exact same title description. Plus he didn't know if they made him demonstrate and he figured it would be the same as the Benji guy.
As those thoughts crossed his mind he couldn't help but feel bad about what he did. Although the guy walked with a stuck up swagger that was no justification to murder. Draco looked at the next green window. The moment he decided to look at the window, it popped clear into view.
Abilities
Description- by imbuing mana into the lens of your left eye,
You are able to see at greater distances.
-Warning-
Once you use this ability your left iris will merge with the original title holder's eye color.
Draco was curious to see what would happen so he decided to activate the ability. He looked over to across the street where a small dinner was built. He cast it, wanting to see if he needed to train his titles skills like others or if he could use the system to instantaneously use the skill.
Instantly his eyes started to burn. He wouldn't say it was excruciating but it was definitely not a pleasant feeling. After a minute of Draco rubbing his eye as he tried to make the pain go away, he looked up. There he found he could read what the waitress was writing on her pad.
The current customer was ordering a burger well done with a side of onion rings. Draco canceled the ability, finding the process of how he would activate the ability without the system now ingrained in his mind. However, if he needed to go through that pain every time he was rethinking that decision.
Notice- due to you not having prior experience circulating mana through the iris, on activation of the skill, you forcefully burned the basic mana channels into your eye's lens.
Draco was dumbfounded, 'couldn't it have told me that before he activated the skill?!' After sitting for a while, Draco wanted to know what it meant by his iris merging with the previous title holder's. Draco stood up from the bench, making sure to not put pressure on his cut leg. He still hadn't bandaged it up properly and he was slowly losing blood.
He made his way to the closest shop and looked at himself in its mirror like shop windows. His right eye is brown like normal but his left one is a dark muddy blue. Draco was focusing on his left eye when suddenly it looked like there was green mist condensed around the outside of the iris. When Draco focused on it, it vanished, Like it was never there. He stopped looking at himself and decided to walk to the showers.
On his way to the showers he decided to look at the other window that opened up. It was an inventory. He called up his window and selected inventory. It opened to a bunch of green blank squares, however in the first 6 there were symbols. As Draco walked he clicked on the first one, it was in the shape of a ring.
-Storage ring-
rank-F
Capacity 3/10
Draco knew about these as they were very popular for Strikers, as you couldn't just carry your weapons around in the open. However this one was of very low quality. He wondered how to get it out. He thought about it being in his hand and all of a sudden it materialized in his hand.
Draco looked at the ring, noticing it had a lot of cracks running through it. Draco knew that meant either it got damaged when he Absorbed that guy, or it was a hammy down and it was already broken when he got it. The ring wasn't anything fancy, it was a basic silver ring that was smooth to the touch. Draco had no problems putting it on as it had no identifying qualities.
As soon as it reached his middle finger on his right hand, his inventory window glowed brighter for a split second. Draco looked over and now there were eight items in his inventory. He was nearing the showers so he decided to quickly look at all the other items. There were shoes, 40 dollars, pants, a bright red shirt and a long trench coat that was a dark brown.
He checked the status of each one, noticing none of them had an enchantment or anything special about them. He saw an option to destroy the items and decided to destroy them all besides the trench coat and the money. He liked it and though it may be in bad taste, it didn't have any indication it was someone else's so he figured it wouldn't be a problem.
He then looked at the last three items that were in the storage ring. These were a bit more interesting, one was a rank F potion. But what really interested him was the bow and arrows in the last two slots. The arrows were wooden with iron heads. They didn't have any enchantments on them so they would be easy to buy. The bow on the other hand was different.
Longbow
Rank-E
Enchantments-strength
Description- the bow will read your current strength and adjust how
Hard the string is to pull, allowing it to shoot farther as you get stronger
The bow was a beautiful thing. It was green with veins of brown running through it, "no doubt for stealth." Draco mumbled to himself. Draco wasn't stupid enough to take the bow out in public as that was a criminal offence. Once he arrived at the shower's, he quickly took a clean shower before heading home.
On his way home he remembered they were going to have dinner with Aurora, so he decided to stop off at a local thrift shop. There he bought a black shirt and clean jeans. He changed into them before heading out, putting his other clothes in his inventory. As he approached his home he decided to set far sight as his title, seeing as that was his title after all.
