Draco decided to go to the training ground, it was an area his cousin's guild, The Busters took care of. Seeing as he was a janitor there he was technically allowed to use the facility as he was a part of the guild, at least on paper. However he never used it before as he never needed to train his traits abilities.
On top of that, anytime he would start heading to it to check it out, his cousin would be there and tell him to get lost. "What's the point of you coming here? You have no title so there is no need to train, get out of here." but seeing as it was his day off he was going to go and practice his bow skills.
He decided that seeing as he didn't have enough money to join a Door raid he was going to go to a field and kill monsters there. Fields are areas that have Doors that constantly break without warning. No-one knew why these doors in this area didn't take the average month to break, However the government decided to put up a 3 story wall around these areas and allowed low ranked Strikers go in after signing agreements saying they were liable for their own safety.
The doors were normally only low rank Doors so many F-rank hunters made a living out of farming the Fields. As he was nearing the Busters building, he found the only Field not too far away from the city. He could get a cab out to it and go hunting for Spinewebs. Once he arrived, he walked through the front door for once instead of the help entrance around back. Draco walked up to the man at the counter and asked where the guild training ground was.
After confirming he was an employee he was directed around to the left to an elevator that took him down underground where it opened up into a large underground space. The guild must have decided to buy the surrounding buildings basement space to create this. As he spun on the spot looking at everything, he noticed multiple areas he could train in different areas of combat. There was a target range for bows and arrows, as well as one for automatic weapons.
Draco watched as someone fired what looked like a machine gun and it wasn't making any noise. "That must be a sound barrier.'' Then there were test dummies that were made out of life like gel to practice precision. And an obstacle course which made Draco grimace as he watched multiple people get hit by the traps, or fall from their current positions.
Draco walked over to the target range and decided to set up for the next couple hours just training. He summoned his bow and arrows out of his inventory before taking an arrow out of the quiver on his back and nocked it into place before taking aim and firing. The arrow flew through the air flying in a straight line where it hit the back wall, imbedding itself halfway in about two feet above and to the right of the four foot wide target. Draco laughed nervously realizing how long this was going to take to get somewhat decent at this.
By the time his quiver was empty, his body was covered in sweat. He walked over to a bench that was stationed behind where the archers would be standing. Decided to take a break and check his window he sat down. He started looking through the pages that had shown up when he was with Ruth.

Once he saw his stats he decided to start working out after his shifts, before he came down here to practice his bow skills. He had finally caught his breath so he started to head to the target to grab his arrows when someone yelled at him to stop. Something came whizzing past his face, hitting the target 40 yards ahead of him. The projectile hit with a bang and a force came rushing towards Draco.
Draco braised himself against the visible force that came rushing towards him. Even when he crouched a little to stabilize himself he was still thrown back, landing on his feet and hands. "Someone got the noob off the firing range!" Draco stood up, feeling like he hadn't slept in hours.
"Hey buddy! Are you okay?" Draco looked up to find an average looking guy with long dark robes and a tipped hat standing before himself. Draco's mind went completely blank, "your a mage…" was all that came out of his mouth. The man laughed at the expression of absolute awe coming from the guy Infront of him. "My name's Wisp, Wisp Lightfoot." The man stuck out his hand for Draco to shake it. Draco instantly took wisp's hand and shook it, forgetting to let go.
The man laughed again which snapped Draco out of his daze, making him realize he had been shaking this man's hand for over half a minute. "Haha sorry about that. I wanted to be a mage." Draco didn't know why he had told this man that but it was in the past and he decided to move on from his embarrassing encounter. Draco couldn't help being interested in what the man had just done.
He could tell some of the effects of that projectile by seeing it shot. It was a red lightning bolt that had enough power to cause a loud bang against the target wall. However the force that came out and the feeling of being exhausted wasn't natural. It was almost like a projectile with one if not two AOE spells connected to it.
Draco hadn't realized that he had been mumbling all this loud enough for the mage to hear. "Wow I'm impressed you figured that out just by seeing the last second of the spell, you are actually spot on. It was a new spell I've been working on for the past couple months." Draco awkwardly laughed as he wasn't used to getting compliments.
"Well I also got hit with it. But I'm curious, what is that spell supposed to be used on? Judging by what I saw the projectile itself would hurt but the real effect would be either the noise or the force and after effect." The Mage's smile widened even further than the first one.
"I'm trying to perfect a non-lethal way to knock non-monster targets out. As you can see the delivery is almost done, however it would be nice to not have it be so visible. The only problem is I don't have any other spells that could be used as a delivery system. On the other hand the closer you are to the force the harder it will hit and the worse the sapping effect is."
Draco looked thoughtfully at the ground trying to think when an idea came to mind. "How did you connect the three spells together?" The man looked confusedly at Draco for a few seconds before answering. "My title allows me to take my spells and combine them in different orders." Draco looked up at wisp's title to see Chain Mage floating there. "So you can take a spell and what? Ingrain it into another active spell?"
"That's about right? Why do you ask?" Draco's mind was flying and Wisp could see it in his eyes. "So does the spell have to be in use or can it be about to be cast?" Wisp was taken about, "about to be cast?" then it was like a lightbulb was flicked on inside wisps head, wisp started talking in an excited tone. "Depending on the compatibility of the spells, When I put mana into a spell I can intertwine another spell inside that one!"
Draco had a bright smile on his face as he and wisp locked eyes "so you could put the spell into an item generated ability." Wisp was so excited he started to mumble to himself. "I have to try this out, I must try this before the next Door is scheduled. Sorry but I must leave you here today, do you mind me asking you your name?" Draco was a little taken back at his sudden departure but figured it wouldn't hurt to tell him his name. "Draco lionHeart."
The man stuck around just long enough to hear Draco's name before bolting for the door. "The only problem with that idea is if it does work it's going to take a large amount of mana to activate, as item abilities take a higher amount of mana then the same type of skill from a Title Holder. Eh he will figure it out." Draco decided to go back to shooting.
