Chapter 59: The Secret Treasures of the Founders

Under the watchful eyes of the four legendary founders of Hogwarts, Ivan told them everything he knew, from Hogwarts a thousand years later to the current state of the magical world.

Ivan felt a strong oppressive feeling coming from Salazar, it was crushing him to the point where he could barely breathe, but the oppressive feeling quickly faded as Godric stood up.

"Ivan isn't insulting the Slytherin family, he's just stating the facts, obviously your descendant, the dark wizard named Voldemort, has a few ideas that resemble yours and I've already told you that your thinking is dangerous," Godric said.

"Bloodlines, strength and power, Salazar, this is what you and the Purebloods want, in your opinion, it's not wrong to do whatever it takes to get there, but sometimes you have to be more principled," Helga said.

"Getting carried away with excessive power will blind a person! Only the brightest can avoid that fate. Wizards must control magic, magic must not control the wizard," Rowena said quietly.

Hearing the words of the three , Salazar did not respond, he sat down, his face was pale, not the slightest color could be seen.

Godric made a motion for Ivan to move on, Ivan decided to leave out that Salazar left the school after a dispute with the other three. From the look on Salazar's face, it was likely that he would try to kill Ivan if he said something like that.

He hesitated for a while before telling the story of the chamber of secrets.

"My God, Salazar, you built a secret room inside the school and left a basilisk inside? I never would have guessed you would do something like that," Godric said.

Salazar said, "Well, it's my castle, I have the right to make the necessary modifications and give my descendants something that will help them. And don't think I don't know anything about the secret rooms they built inside the castle."

"Okay, but I never thought you'd leave a basilisk....," Godric said.

"That's not the point, gentlemen! The point is the diary Ivan mentioned, if I'm not mistaken, it's most likely a Horcrux," Rowena said quietly.

"Horcrux?" said Salazar, Godric and Helga at the same time.

The other three looked stunned for a moment, and after a while, Godric muttered, "You mean the vile spell Herpo the Madman cast."

Ravenclaw nodded slightly, the room fell silent, no one made so much as a murmur.

Salazar broke the silence and said, "What mad idiot would break his soul? Unless you want to become a monster, I see no other use."

Helga said, "You can live forever, but when you split your soul, you will be forever trapped in an illusion, you cannot die or become a ghost."

Godric stood up, looked at Salazar and said, "It is no longer a matter of ideals! Salazar, the Horcrux needs to be destroyed, this evil is against the laws of nature, will you let your offspring slowly go mad and eventually destroy everything they touch, including Hogwarts?"

"If you say that, then I will personally deal with him, the honor of the Slytherin family cannot be tarnished. But my opinions remain the same, the dirty blood of the future still makes me uncomfortable," said Salazar

"Your secret room, Salazar, we can build a real chamber of secrets and leave something inside. A true heir will only be able to open it at the most critical moment when Hogwarts is in danger," Rowena whispered

"This idea is great, we can leave some evidence and secret treasures to secure the future of Hogwarts. We can use our own personal philosophy and ensure the destruction of the dark wizards. I agree with Rowena's proposal, what do you think?" said Godric excitedly.

"I have no opposition!" said Helga smiling and nodding.

"Whatever you want, but I'll do it my way," Salazar said with a grim hum.

Ivan looked at the four excited people, the founders of Hogwarts left secret treasures, what's this about treasure hunts?

Rowena turned to Ivan and said, "In that case, let's take a look at the secret chamber first, as for you, I just finished looking at the time tour, it started the wrong way, so it took you to a time when you didn't exist."

"So, what should I do now? can I go back?" asked Ivan worriedly.

"Don't worry, but we have to hurry, when the magic runs out, you will be returned to your previous time, now you have to go back to where you were before so there will be no surprises," said Rowena

When they heard her words, Godric thought about going with Ivan, and Helga regretted that Ivan had not been able to taste the food she had prepared. The five of them went straight to the chamber with the Slytherin key.

Inside the Chamber of Secrets, Godric, Rowena and Helga looked around satisfied, it was indeed the best place to store treasures.

"Here, you dirty blood, you fell from this place," Salazar said as he led Ivan to the place where the statue stood, Ivan then felt time twist around him.

Rowena said in a peculiar ethereal voice, "Intelligence is a man's greatest treasure. Farewell, Ivan Mason, in the future, when Hogwarts faces its most dangerous time, I hope you can pass the tests and find the treasures we left behind."

"Ivan! I'll leave my recipes here, so if you find them, they'll be yours!" said Helga cheerfully,

"Listen boy! I'll leave a few Gryffindor exclusive weapons so powerful they'll kick that dark wizard's ass. Don't let me down, if you fail, I'll kick your arse," Godric said loudly as he clenched his fists

Salazar had not spoken, he looked very unhappy, he was looking at Ivan's face, but just before Ivan disappeared he stepped forward and put something in Ivan's hand as he said, "This potion is my gift, it is a magic enhancing potion, I'm sorry my descendant hurt you."

Before Ivan could respond, he was sent back, he was back where he originally fell.

He was lying on the Slytherin statue, it was as if everything that had just happened was a dream.
