Chapter 127: I Believe in Him

Harry's eyes looked over Professor Lupin's shoulders. He saw hundreds of spells flying at the same time towards him, an incredible sight.

As the spells came closer, Harry was horrified and pale.

Before this, he had never faced so many curses.

He was very frightened, but seeing Professor Lupin standing in front of him, looking at him gently and calmly, suddenly courage surged in his heart. The oppressive feeling of fear brought on by the hundreds of spells vanished. Harry realized he had to remind Professor Lupin to dodge.

"Out of my way, Professor, hurry up!" Harry screamed miserably and his tears flowed uncontrollably.

When he heard Harry's cries, Lupin froze. He turned his head to see the curses approaching.

His body trembled slightly and he opened his mouth as if to say something to Harry.

But being transformed into a werewolf, Lupin lost his ability to speak. At that moment, he could only make a strange voice.

Lupin took one last look at Harry and closed his eyes accepting his fate. His face was full of pain.

The hundreds of spells were getting closer, the intense light was becoming more and more dazzling, almost blinding Harry.

Just as he felt desperate, a large dark blue shield appeared before them to prevent the spells from hitting them.

All the spells were instantly blocked and ripples appeared on the shield.

It was Dumbledore's magic. Lupin and Harry quickly opened their eyes. They saw Dumbledore walking into the crowd. Behind him were Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, Snape, Lucius Malfoy, Hagrid, Ivan and Hermione.

All the young wizards stopped their attacks and crowded together to let Dumbledore pass. Ivan stood in the middle of the crowd and looked at poor Professor Lupin, and Harry, who was pale beneath him, and Ron, who was sitting in the corner.

"God!" Professor McGonagall covered her mouth with her hand and couldn't believe what she was looking at.

Fudge and Professor Flitwick couldn't help but scream. They looked like they could pass out at any moment.

Hagrid looked at Harry and Ron with concern to see if they were hurt.

Only Dumbledore, Snape and Lucius were still calm. Dumbledore's face showed not even a slight ripple, and no one could guess what he was thinking.

Snape's face was cold and smiling as he looked at Lupin's werewolf form. Lucius had a cold, satisfied smile. He looked back and forth between Dumbledore and Lupin and it really looked like he had planned for all of this to happen.

Ivan felt Hermione's cold hand grip his arm and her body trembled slightly. He turned his head to give her a reassuring look.

But Hermione was still worried. She had just experienced Greyback's attack in Hogsmeade and the terror the werewolf brought was still fresh in her memory.

Although she had long known that Professor Lupin was a werewolf, she never thought she would see him in his beast form.

And there was Harry and Ron, who stood pale beside him. They all had wands in their hands.

Was it Professor Lupin who was attacking them? did he hurt them?!

Immediately after, Hermione saw Ginny crying in the crowd.

She hurriedly let go of Ivan's arm and went over to comfort her.

"A werewolf attack inside the castle is nothing surprising. I knew from the first day of the semester that this sort of thing would happen." Snape said quietly, a sarcastic smile on his face. "I remember I warned you especially about this matter, do you still remember, Headmaster?"

That was the eve of Halloween, Snape told Dumbledore, and Ivan still remembered Dumbledore's response.

"Of course, Severus!" said Dumbledore calmly. "If you live to be my age, you will know that anything in this world can happen. But with these kinds of incidents, I am confident in the efficiency of your potion. And Remus is taking the Wolfsbane potion you brewed in time, isn't he?"

"Of course, of course, he's completely harmless now, a tame werewolf." Judging by Snape's expression, he didn't mean that.

"Good!" Dumbledore nodded quickly and turned to Harry and Ron in the middle of the crowd. "Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, I hope you can explain, what's going on?"

"Professor, we..." said Harry excitedly.

Before he could finish his words, he heard Ron point to Professor Lupin and say in a monotone, bored voice. "This monster was attacking us. He wanted to bite Harry and me."

"You're talking nonsense, he didn't do it. He's..." Harry looked at Ron with indignation. He didn't understand why he said it.

But his voice was interrupted once more, and this time it was Lucius Malfoy.

"A frightening accusation, I never thought a Hogwarts professor would be a werewolf before." Lucius said in an arrogant voice. "Also attacking his own students on a full moon night?! I'm worried about the safety of this school, we must act immediately, Minister!"

"What do you mean?" Fudge froze for a moment before his startled gaze shifted from Lupin's werewolf form, as if he had just reacted, he said worriedly, "You're right, Lucius, I can't believe it either, the Ministry of Magic must..."

"Cornelius, we must be careful before we make a decision. There must be a misunderstanding about this tonight." Dumbledore looked calmly at Fudge. "I hired Remus to teach the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. I spoke to you specifically about this before the semester started."

"Yes, yes, you spoke to me, Albus!" Cornelius shifted nervously. He took a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "But no one thought there would be a werewolf riot, did they? Not that I don't believe you, but in the current situation, I think it's better to imprison him for security reasons before we can clearly prove that Lupin is absolutely under control..."

"I can prove it!" Harry shouted, "I can prove he's fine."

"Shut up, Potter, you don't even know what you're talking about," Snape said disgustedly.

"Wait a minute, Professor!" Ivan rushed out, "I think Harry is right. I also think this werewolf is safe. He's completely different from the werewolf we met in Hogsmeade I believe in him!"
